1. Ogun considers reopening churches, mosques June 19

The governor explained that the government had recently taken written submissions and met with religious leaders on Thursday to discuss modalities for the reopening of the worship centres.

2. Appointments: Those responsible for criminal lopsidedness should be punished – Soyinka

“I think those responsible for this criminal lopsidedness should be punished. It is not sufficient to discuss it and to say you are restructuring. It is criminal at this level. It requires an upheaval in that sector," Soyinka said.

3. The federal government has inaugurated the Steering Committee for the Nigeria Digital Identity for Development Ecosystem Project to fast-track the implementation of the Strategic Roadmap for accelerating digital identity development for Nigeria.

Nigerian activist, Martin Obono, who was earlier arrested for a post he shared on Twitter, has been released by the police.

Obono was arrested for a tweet where he accused the police of trying to truncate a rape case involving his clients......
