I have severally here on Nairaland adviced the FG on possible ways to combat this deadly virus.

Only a total lockdown for at least Two months will stop the daily increase of cases.

Nigerians must learn to bear pains the total lockdown will cause them.

Cases kept increasing day by day. We cannot fold our arms and allow this virus to consume us.

The FG should as a matter of urgency lockdown all states for at least two months.

The military and police should be deployed to enforce the total lockdown.

Everybody must remain inside there homes.

A 5days notice should be given for citizens to stock food items in there homes

As the FG does this, I assure all Nigerians that we will overcome.
Did you say another lockdown for two months?
my only prayer for you is may what I am experiencing due to this covid 19 scam befall you in a multiplied fold.
Amen

While I agree cases are rising, and the number actually infected will be far higher than is reported, I'm not sure a further lockdown is the way to go.

We are already in full blown community transmission. And by most predictions, this disease will be here for quite a while.

Other equally serious (HIV, TB, malaria, etc) are suffering, and this could lead to even worse outcomes in the long run.

You can see the effects of the 5 week lockdown it has been from loss of jobs to uncertainty. The economy as a whole has been affected its closd to a collaspe. Covid19 strain here is not fatal maybe because of our immunity or so. We can't afford a lockdown it will be disastrous. Even WHO has said we would cohabit with the virus for sometime. Where is the money for most to stockup? Even with the 5 week lockdown Nigeria still has less than 20k tests which was poor. Lockdown can never be the solution.

Corona virus would have long be history in Nigeria if not for her unusual insincerity and corruption! our cases are far less than Western countries but yet we can eradicate it! imagine the total number of tested people for the whole 3 months is not up to US testing in a week or China testing in 3 days if the government kept on moving in this sloth manner be rest assure till eternity we will resume school or any activities!

Bro lock down won't solve anything. It will rather keep making things get worse and out of hand. Best is we should just keep up with the safety tips. That's all
