Unfortunately , nigerian air defense system is almost nonexistent undecided , only few F7 jets with PL-9 missiles for interception , dont know if the old Roland Air defense system still in service ,

if for exemple france sent some rafales or mirages , they will wander in the sky of nigeria without any threat from them . not to talk about military radars , EW systems, anti jamming ect....

Please, are you very sure about this? This is the reason argument starts. Because few people like us, who know better, are stunned when you speak untruth with so much certainty.

Please have you been inside our armoury? Were you a member of the National Air Defence Corps? What do you know about the NA air defence artillery regiment? Are you privy to classified procurements? How do you know that our air defence is non-existent? And you talk with so much certainty, which sucks.

See, any enemy that thinks we have no high-tech air defence system runs the risk of complete annihilation in the skies. Unfortunately, Nigerian military is very secretive and you will never know the specifics of the weapons and systems.

However, Just take it as truth from someone who knows more than you ever will.

Based on the verifiable fact that an unidentifiable plane once flew over Nigeria and was forced to Land and it caused great embarrassment to the French ,
Nigeria does have a Radar Air Defence System .
This incident happened in the last days of the GEJ administration.
Since then there is physical proof that the NAF has bought some infrastructure regarding Air Radar Infrastructure System .
It is reasonable to expect there is some System is in place.

Bro, come down from there.
There is no top secret classified Sophisticated weaponry hiding anywhere, and no you don’t know shi.t!!
This is 2020 not 1987, do you really think Nigeria would procure something major and it’ll remain a secret??

TRACON was implemented due to obligation to international civil aviation organization to ensure safety of civilian aviation inside Nigerian airspace. Every nation is obligated to do so otherwise international flights might be stopped.

It was implemented and executed by Thales of France. Ad per open source they supplied 4 star 2000 primary air traffic control radar and 9 rsm 970m secondary air traffic control radars for installation in various airports.

Let me be clear about it. Nigeria has state of the art air-defence systems different from those you know or have seen. Yes, only "people like us" know wink

Sir, he wrote in coded words. The knowledge is not for people to derive, this is a public forum with hundreds of 'guests'.

Just satisfy yourself that something exists.
Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Nobody: 11:50am On Jun 07, 2020
People should realise that in the real world " classified " with respect to military systems is associated mostly at sub system level and not at system level itself .

In the age of satellites , EW etc , no system level weapon can escape detection .

Those who believe so r being naive , inorder to prepare for war one needs to train with the system regularly in real , so lack of visibility will never be a factor for interested parties. Once a system is switched on , some of it's EM transmissions will travel across the world and those who have the capabilities will do the needful if they r interested.

One can even assume a factor of " classified " categorisation with locally manufactured systems designed and built under tight cloak of secrecy but that too for a given period of time only, but same cannot be extended to imported systems.

Long story short " if u r not aware doesn't mean others r not aware " .
