It's not about being an advance country, it's about the system of government they practice (federalism). Trump does not have the power to fire him, it's not like our own copy copy federalism with a police force controlled by the federal government uptill the local government level. Now, imagin if rivers has its own police force that is under the control of the state governor, I bet u the Commissioner of police there would tell buhari to go to hell and nothing go happen, buhari doesn't have the constitutional rights to fire him and Wike wouldn't touch him, after all wike is from the opposition party.

We are not yet matured for state police... Alot of Governors would have killed all the oppositions and Opponents in an Institutional murder .... Also, More guns across the states that won't have central control ....

State Police will create more problem beyond the brain of Nigerian leaders....

The problem with we blacks is that we just copy anything and everything whether it befits us , our culture or not we don't care .... we just copy and when the ugly problems started raising their heads, we just lost controls and we wont know what to do !!

Always try to tailored you response to the statement of the person you are quoting, avoid the influence of other comments you have read in your response to a particular comments. I never mentioned Governors should be the one appointing service chiefs and even the people you said we are copying do not do things the way we are doing it. For instance, we are only a federal republic in paper and not in practice and that explains the challenges we are having in most of the sectors in this country.

I used to be a strong supporter of creating state police based on true federalism but after seeing these governors arrogance and tyranny during this Corona wahala, I think that should wait till when we are more mature for that.

We can never be matured .... It's like Oyinbo waiting till 2020 to give us independent of 1960 .... we can never be matured oooo

We need to start and learn through time .... The national assembly will keep amending the laws that create the state police through time and we need to Strengthen the DSS/Federal Police, The Army and Civil Defence in case any Governor wants to go rogue....

The problem is where such Governor is a paddy paddy to the President/Federal Government even if he killed his entire people and oppositions , The presidency/FG will just look away !!

We are lost ... Who go help us I don't know aswear ..... Because God doesn't seem to give a damn about Nigeria ... HE already give us everything , to apply Brain na ihm be our wahala
