The Nigerian Army said, no fewer than 1,400 Boko Haram/Islamic States of West Africa Province (ISWAP) have been killed, and 166 informants and couriers arrested, in the Northeastern part of Nigeria.

This was disclosed by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, while briefing president Buhari at the State House on June 8, 2020, also present at meeting was the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof Ibrahim Gambari.

Recall that about two months ago the Chief of Army Staff relocated to Borno State to oversee a ramping up of anti-insurgency operations.

He briefed the President today on the outcome so far. He said more than 1,400 terrorists killed, and 166 informants and couriers arrested, while the operations continue.

Remember that the terrorists was almost destroyed by the Chidian Army when they engaged them in a hot battle that claimed lives of prominent members of the insurgents, in retaliation for killing of their Soldiers in an ambush in March 2020.

Chad president Idiris Debby, claimed that his shoulders have destroyed 90% of the terrorists, as a result of the attack lunched on them, about two months ago, he then called on the Nigerian Government to send it Soldiers to take over territories recovered from the insurgents.

Since then, the Nigerian Army have been lunching deadly attack on the insurgents, it also claimed that most of the key members of the sects have been killed.

There are more to it than Nigerians can see... maybe politics, how can Chadian Army dealt with Boko guy so ruthlessly in April and Nigerian Army in Audio victory.
