It won't be easy to fill out. Especially those legal terms there.

Example:
1) County of.

2)Company name?
Some of us are individual consumers.

Please people. can anyone upload a filled form. So that others can learn.
thanks.
You can write "Nigeria" for County
Company name can be your name

you can also send a mail to Copart requesting for a sample form

Francmoda has been just so impressive here. Really learnt alot. I have a few questions.

1. Is it possible to buy in the US without going through an auction? A relative of mine residing in the US said he would do so to avoid the auction charges.
2. Clearing of accidented cars and clean history, are they the same in terms of cost? He advised me to go for clean history that the total overall cost is almost the same after undergoing repairs.
3. I intend going for a Toyota corolla 07 model and am presently in PH. My worry is going about the clearing procedures and getting it down to PH in this lockdown season, with movement restrictions. How possible is it going about it now?
4. I don't want to end up spending an exorbitant amount getting a car all the way from US when I can get same from Nigeria at same cost with less stress. Is the time and stress of importing really worth it? That is in terms of cost difference and quality.
Expecting your responses, thanks
1. Yes. you can buy from dealerships and private sellers but must prove its for export if not you would pay sales tax. Cars from Dealerships and private sellers are generally more expensive.
2. There is no rule of thumb in comparing clean history to accidented + repairs car cost. either can be more expensive or cheaper. The clearing cost are the same...90% of agents clear cars as accidented even if it has a clean title to save on duty. (there is no harm in this so far the correct duty was actually paid to the bank)
3. Ocean shipping and clearing process never stopped. If you buy now, by the time it gets to Lagos, inter-state movement ban should have been lifted.
4. Use my previous analysis to calculate if you should buy from auction and at what price or buy here in Nigeria. The risk involved which all importers are already aware of is that pictures don't always tell the real story. so budget for unexpected expense when importing. If buying from Nigeria, RUN A VIN CHECK

Thank you so much. It's quite detailed. God bless you for the time and good work you're doing here.

Can francmoda or anyone tell me if one can either use just CAC "business name" or "limited company" registration as document required to bid on Copart or IAAI as international member.

Registering with Copart as a business will afford you the ability to bid for cars from more states.

To your question. Yes you can use CAC "business name registration" . You also need your VAT letter

For IAAI, I just realised they only accept "limited company"
