So guys, I have been thinking for some few months now. How can we get this country on the right track with this forum?
Everyday logging onto Nairaland, just to keep reading & seeing shit as regard the terrible leaders that continue to govern, is heart breaking. Then it just occurred to me when I viewed the no of registered monikers on Nairaland, it quite huge(2.4 million, then assuming only abt 1.5 million is currently active) that we can take advantage of our number and start doing smth better, than just wailing in the comment section(as always puts it Lol).
With proper planning we can mobilize ourselves, infilitrate political parties or form new ones(though am thinking of cost and popularity) and then get into positions that can help us achieve our aim.
Then I know a lot of us here are in countries abroad with better systems. They can help to enlighten us on how and why their present countries are excelling. They can even help us to sort out companies over there like private power generating companies, that can potentially help to invest in our power generating(I.e after getting ourselves into right places) and other potential areas we are deficient in our naija.
It pains me alot, when I get on Nairaland and see us argue over small petty issues like tribal wars, when we should think of solving our problems.
This forum can be our gateway(thanks to oga Seun for this wonderful site) of mobilizing ourselves to do something right. We can't keep sitting and cursing in this forum while things keep getting worse.
Lastly I keep reading comments where I see pple say d best they can give their children is a life abroad, but trust me the best you can give your children is for them to know that your are a hero to a country of over 250 million pple. Like the Igbo's till today keep thinking of Ojukwu as a hero to them, so also you can also been to this country. God bls u all.

Active members here no reach 2k.
Not people that are registered or log in and view.

It was more than this before but it's dwindling by the day.

A person may have like 6 monikers and all are active.
Go to politics section. Nobody there has less than 2 monikers.

As for helping Nigeria, I wish you luck. U need it grin

We can only change nigeria when we are ready to sacrifice certain things. I don't think we are ready.

Open a GoFundMe account so I can start 2023 campaign on Nairaland for president!

I've had too many dreams where I become President of Nigeria. I'm from the south, born in the north, middlename Western, surname Eastern, married middle belt.

I will rescue Nigeria if I have 50% of NL support.

Being objective at all time instead of being biased. I doubt that will ever happen though.

That's very impressive if its really your only account.

Even those I thought had one account at the end ended up having 2.

Re: How Can We Nairalanders Save Nigeria by helinues:
sad

I am not exaggerating oo, but I know of a single person who has operated more than 1,000 monikers on NL.

The average people that are creating nuisance people on NL have nothing less than 5 monikers

NL real members are not up to 1 million

the same Nairaland that fight tribal war? there is nothing wrong with Nigeria but a lot is wrong with average Nigerians mindset, Nairaland is not exempted

our mindset is culturally different, what a Fulani man will call development might be different from what Yoruba or Igbo will call development

where do you want us to start from? is it from injustice, Nepotism, corruption, tribalism, religion intolerance etc?

whether sooner or later Nigeria will disintegrate, it might not happen in our generation but it will still happened. I learnt Gowon had flag off to secede Nigeria in 1966 before the British who see danger in their exploitation of Nigeria oil intervening and telling him the economic consequences on Northerners

Nigeria can never developed until all region is allowed to control his resources and developed themselves/parting away without stress

Nigeria could have been save by knowing what is the fact and acting according to the fact.

Unfortunately, the media, the politicians, and the e-rats on Nairaland have been lying to themselves, deceiving and being deceived. The first truth to understand or if you can investigate is that Buhari is dead. Nobody is in charge of Nigeria. Things are going to get worst before the eventual and violent break up of the sh1t hole.

On Nairaland there is a thread "Nairaland Says No To Secessionists" pinned on the front page. The thread shows the deepest misunderstanding you can ever get in life. If the creators of that thread were able to critically analyze what is going on in Nigeria the title would have been exactly yours - "How Can We Nairalanders Save Nigeria". However, they could not see, they did not understand until it became too late.

It is all over now. It is coming. It is total chaos.

Nigeria is irredeemable. This forum is a den of trolls. I shall create alternate monikers since this place is nothing more than a receptacle for text-graffiti. Active members here are not more than 200 - 300 in total. This platform is not known — and even if it was — won’t make a smidge for consideration when it comes to real world political undertakings.
