I still don't get something.
Where are all these terrorists emerging from.
Despite the Airstrikes conducted against them which visibly we see proofs
The recent operations which again we saw proofs of success

These guys still comes out kidnap people unluckily service men fell victim
And they into hiding Question is where
NAF has been conducting intense ISR operations
We should just rotate troops in the NE deploy fresh ones including a unit of AFSF

On my birthday it was two service men death day so sad...

How many terrorists are killed as a result of the airstrike

They are more to these than just airstrike. Boots on the ground is more beneficial than Airstrike.

Facts:
1) Isreal used cluster bomb on Hezbollah secured caves and there was little/no positive result.
2) Check the time Navy seals were pinned down on a mountain top by Terrorists dugged in a cave, they used airstrikes still, nothing..then ended up losing men(special forces including Rangers sent to their rescue). The men on ground had to destroy the dugged in position.

#Bootsongroundmatters.

Happy birthday in arrears.

A good death is "kneeling down to get shot" on camera for the whole world to watch, including their family, mother, wife, and children when they grow up. The video stays for eternity. Smh.

There are few men in today's world.

If you see a Taekwondo black belter, whose belt was issued by the World Taekwondo Federation. And a trained mixed martial artist. Tell 6 men to fight him.

One kick on the head, you are in coma. One kick or punch on your stomach, you go down for 10minutes. Kicks to side, your ribs may break or kidney/liver damage. When you see trained legs flying, you keep your distance.

I come from a family of forces. I had a NIA agent, a soldier, air force and a policeman in my extended family. So, i know what am talking about.
Na wa, i was saying ur uncle died a good death as a soldier he died fighting. Spartans

Please does anyone knows whether the N-ICON drone development by demfas has gotten to the prototype stage or higher stage?

And has NASDRA being able to Successfully guide NAF's rockets?

Who told you that? A standard Humvee will not stop any kind of projectile. It is no different in that respect to a civilian SUV.

An up-armored Humvee can stop essentially all pistol rounds, and most common rifle rounds (7.62x39mm, 5.45x39mm, 7.62x54mmR, 7.62x51mm NATO). It will NOT stop a .50 caliber round, nor will it protect against anti-tank weapons or IEDs.

So if I understand you properly, you prefer A Hilux, maybe since Humvee can't stop .50caliber, I believe your Hilux can stop AA Guns as well as even 105mm Round

You hardly hear anything about this type of project until a major milestone or completion in Nigeria.

https://demfasaerosystems.com/n-icon/ - probably this could help !

You didn't understand me "properly", there was no place I wrote about preferring the Hilux to the Humvee. What I meant is, there's no difference between a normal /not armored /un-armoured Humvee and a Hilux. Haven't you seen a civilian Humvee on our streets? The difference is one is "tushed up" and the other is not.

There's some trainer version 'Mugin UAVs' used for drone pilot training at the airforce. Wonder if short term solution of equipping with sensors/camera would achieve a better experience.

I could only hope Demfas is able to get more traction in the Nigerian sector. If based in or around Shenzen (tech capital of the world), best believe they'll have access to a lot of technological capabilities.

I underatand the angle u are coming from and i want ti try as much as possible to respond to that area. Otherwise what the point of atressing irsefl to fight a battle u cant win, plus if u annoy this guys they can resirt to cutting ur hands , ur lefs abd doing other awful thing before putting a bullet in u.... atleast they died peacefull.
But to answer from ur angle, yes they ought to have fight, but fight with what, what skills do regular soldiers, not to talk of police ,do u think it possible they can sieze those weapons from the two,
And when u look at the environment, it desert, no stones , just nothing so it knly ur hands u can use, which yeye krav maga skills are regulars taught

A average Nigeria Regular Soldier undergo S.E.R.E which include some basic krav maga, core kickboxing/boxing, i no fit talk Police sha o...

Distance between those service men (while on their knees) and their executors give them more advantage to disarming, eliminating and responsive shooting...

Meanwhile, they have slightest ratio of survival ( that's if the execution team is more than the two executors, the cameraman and possibly a driver) but they can still take at least two with them, before being shot dead, because if they disarm those terrorist, the terrorist will have no choice but to open fire on them. Then it depends on their luck...

Kneeling down, blindfolded without being locked is a bit weird, to see a force man like that

Terrorist are just like markets they want to show clean videos, where they will appear in charge and under control of the situation.
To achieve this the will take the victim they intend to kill or asked to speak for prove of life several times in front of the camera usually saying the same thing, with this the victim or victims will be calm in the video because they don't actually know if that will be another outing or the final one.

i see that there is some chuck norris films amators here , kartate kids , ninjas who dodges bullets or can take down ten armed man bare handed behind their keybords grin , most had never held a rifle or a gun in their hands and will wet their pants if they had an AK47 aiming them . you can't even imagine what's to be arrested by an armed group like boko haram that can do much worst than to kill you with a bullet in the head .

and the day you will fire with a rifle , you will know that even ultimate world martial artist is a dead meat in face of one AK47 , not talking about been ambushed and taken hostage by an armed group

RIP to these brave soldiers who faced death honorably and sacrificed their lives to protect their country and population !

Residents of Monguno town could not hide their joy after military repelled an attempt by Boko Haram insurgents to wrecked havoc on the town on Saturday, sources said. According to a reliable source, residents came out to show appreciation after troops successfully repelled the attack.

“Everyone is happy now, there is celebration everywhere; the troops has done brilliantly today. There is relief now. “There was panick few hours ago but now we are fine and safe. The streets are filled with people celebrating the victory of the military over evil people,” a staff with an International Non-Governmental Organisation, INGO disclosed.

A security source also confirmed the development that the attack has been brought under control with the help of air bombardment.

The source noted that troops had successfully repelled the insurgents but mop up operations is currently ongoing. “Like I said, everything is under normal control, no cause for alarms. They made efforts as usual but it was repelled. Right now, mop up operation is ongoing to assess the casualties figure,”security source said. Daily Trust had earlier reported that persons suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents attacked two local government areas of Borno State.

It was learnt that, the insurgents stormed Monguno town exactly 11:30, shooting sporadically in attempt to overrun the town. A staff of an INGO had told Daily Trust that there was deafening sounds of gunshots everywhere.

“As I am speaking with you, Monguno is under attack by Boko Haram, there are loud blast ongoing now, the troops are trying to repel it. We are not safe, please pray for us.” Similarly, the insurgents had attacked a remote village of Usmanati Goni, Nganzai LGA early hour of Saturday.

According to a local hunter source, the attackers came at 10:00am, raining bullets on the civilians. Casualties figure can not be ascertained at the time of filing the report.

It would be recalled that fortnight ago, insurgents attacked Gubio LGA where 81 civilians and hundreds livestock were killed and 6 persons, including the village head were abducted.

The Islamic State claims to have killed 90 fighters of “a militia” affiliated with the Nigerian army near Borno

Wow (not good)... potentially huge shift in targeting. If ISWAP now considers villagers "allied" w army as targets & justifies massacring them, it could mean victimizing large #'s of civilians, unlike ISWAP b4 (but akin to Shekau). Will moderate factions emerge? Will this b 1off?
