You are not being honest... South African leaders started investing and funding sports generally, including football, long before most of their citizens got behind them...

If the leaders had been uncaring as yours here, their league would have been far worse than ours. Who no like better thing??!

If our leaders, politicians, and criminals in power want to make the national league world class, they can do so quite easily!!! But, they will rather take all the money abroad!!!

They have had decades to do the right thing, but chose to look away... What am I even arguing with you sef... Take a fvcking look at your oldest national TV station (NTA)! Is it lack of viewers that made it a global eyesore and embarrassment among TV stations??!... Bros, call a spade a spade!!!

What are we benefiting by supporting European league?
I think let’s go to stadiums to support our soccer, our govt will c that we love our local soccer and come onboard

That place is too hot.

Not hot, The weather is 20degrees.

It's just a new La-Liga rule, I guess it's because of The Rona. But it'll be that way until the end of the season.

The Reason Nigerian league is not up to standard is because of people like you who are not watching it.
.. Hahaha. Na by force? You can't come and be waisting time for something that is always the same. If they want us to watch, their narration should be changed, simple.... Anyway, I am passing, I did not quote you oooo

Leave that guy to be living in denial... A lot of his politicians and leaders have shares and stakes in top football and sporting clubs abroad.

Most of them are not interested in sponsoring anything sports or even human related, except thuggery, cultism, and terrorism!!!... See our athletics, how terribly underfunded it is!!! Is it because of lack of moral support from the average struggling Nigerian too??!...

You make sense bro. This is nothing but the fact. More knowledge

The best? In West Africa ?

The NPFL needs more than just support, it needs investment .

Unfortunately, the right people for that are not on Nairaland .
Investment will not come when there is no support.
South Africa is also encouraging their people to support local sports

Individuals enjoy the foreign leagues, it's a matter of personal choice and there is no fault in patriotism whatsoever .

Recall that patriotism is an unwritten agreement between the Citizens and the State, but when the people in affairs of the state fails to keep their part of the agreement, I highly unlikely the citizens will remain resolute .

The government should make the first move in improving the NPFL, then we might consider .

As a support you could be involved in the election of league leadership.
Be involved and also a supporter of the league

Our government and politicians know the average Nigerian loves football passionately... Street football all over the place, viewing centers, betting shops, etc... How many more clues do they need!!!

You don't need youths packing to horrible looking stadiums, at their own personal risks before you do what responsible and business minded leaders do...

1. Clean up and refurbish up all stadiums across the nation (mandate every state to push their main stadiums to international standard, like Akwa Ibom did).
2. Draw up programs and plans to pull in local and foreign investors into the football sector.
3. Publicize your local leagues massively, especially fixtures. Blow up the damn thing!!!
4. Put up massive attractive events in the leagues e.g organize charity games involving international stars.
5. Provide free or subsidized transportation to games, and tickets too.
