Borno Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum has, in one year, undertaken 326 capital projects and 49 policies and programmes, some of which were capital-intensive, Secretary to the State Government, Usman Jidda Shuwa has announced.

Jidda, in a statement on Saturday, explained that under 21 of the capital projects, Zulum’s administration is constructing 6,544 sub-urban and low-cost houses in 12 local government areas for re-settlement of internally displaced persons and refugees.

The SSG’s statement was to kick-start media engagements lined up to mark the state government’s one year in office. Commissioners and heads of boards and agencies are scheduled to begin pictorial-based press conferences from Monday in Maiduguri.

Among many other projects, Shuwa explained that Zulum undertook 38 capital projects on water supply including drilling of 213 new boreholes, 18 projects on electrification, 8 on agriculture and 7 on vocational skills and entrepreneurship development.

The major question is how many of those projects has he completed? huh

That's how they will get full funds for project, start it,abandon it, apply for another money for a new project, start that one too and abandon it and on and on in an endless circle sad

In any case sef, the few completed projects if any will be taken over by their friends Boko Haram...Those ones even seem to enjoy bounties from this Government more than law abiding citizens... sad

I weep for Borno.
After construction, some boko boys will still destroy and vandalize them, all in the name of 70virgins.

But one thing that baffles me in Nigeria.
When Boko haram wipes a whole community, everyone keeps mute.

But if 1 black man is killed in America, the whole social media will be buzzing with support and condolences, even when the victim is a criminal.

Could this be double standard? Hypocrisy or low self esteem?

Just thinking loud.

Nice one...

We from eastern Nigeria, from Bornu, all the way to benue to cross Rivers to bayelsa need to work together to develop the eastern region. The space the west is giving us is too much, from Lagos to Niger to kano.

We have to push for eastern rail lines, so at least people and goods can move from South east to north east
