I just stumbled on a thread on front page on the subject matter. The discouraging comments on that thread inspired me to share my story here.
I graduated from secondary school in 2012, passed my WAEC ( 1A, 4B & 4C), scored 222 in JAMB and was offered admission to study Biological sciences ( which i specialized into animal biology from 300level).
I graduated with a BSc in zoology in 2016 (second class upper), served between July 2017 and June 2018.
My uncle once told me to my face that i wasted 4years studying a useless course and that nobody will give me a job regardless of my good grade. I was devastated because i least expected this from my only uncle (i was the little groom during his wedding).
To cut the long story short, i got into business and did very well in no time. I received numerous job offers without any connections with that so called useless certificate but i settled for lecturing which i'm currently enjoying. Today, i'm the youngest lecturer in my faculty.
Lesson: don't let anyone ridicule you or your course of study. Do your best and pray for grace. I know Law and accounting graduates who are still submitting CV. God pass them!

He was laughed at by his family and friends when he told them he was studing PHE(Physical and health education) while his brothers studied engineering etc. He later became the famous and made money from working in the stadium to CAF, while the so called better brothers constantly begged him for money. THE REJECTED BECAME THE CONER STONE. I ENVY YOU OP. ALOT OF PEOPLE WISH FOR WHAT YOU HAVE.

every course has its difficulty. i went through it without a single carryover.

LOL. Its not so bad really. Do you know i bred seven generations of mosquitoes during my final year project? People find it hard to believe but we do this all the time!
