Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, Tony Aziegbemi, has declared that Governor Godwin Obaseki and all his loyalists were set to join the party.

He said Obaseki’s deputy, Philip Shuaib, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) chapter would also defect.

The party leader made the disclosure in an interview with NAN on Monday in Benin.


Aziegbemi said the governor, “his deputy and the entire APC structure in the state will be joining PDP soon”.

The chairman disclosed that they have been in touch “in the last few days”.

Aziegbemi assured that by Tuesday, he would “be able to confirm the exact date he (Obaseki) will be joining, along with his team.”

He added that he was not “aware that the governor has obtained our party’s membership card.

“I can also say that there is no automatic ticket in the offing for him at all”, Aziegbemi said.

Has anyone noticed that a notorious tribe of ingrates are always supporting back-stabbers, yet they always lament the most about betrayal?

Their most prominent desire in politics is betrayal and ingratitude, which they project in the political affairs of their own region and actively campaign for such in the politics of every other region.

For them, it is a must to always support the treacherous ingrate who was helped, while vilifying the benefactor as a demon who must be destroyed.


This is the same tribe that every governor they have had, have always betrayed the benefactor that got them into office.

Kanu betrayed his IPOB zombies by calling upon them to come and face a fatal battle with the Nigerian Army who he claimed were attacking him, meanwhile the terrorist had already fled the area with his beloved Mum and Dad. His only regret of his cowardice when he showed up after hiding for over 1yr, was that he was unable to flee with his dog who so perished. While Kanu betrayed his supporters, his dog stood his ground like a man that Kanu wasn't, showing that animals of the zoo have more courage than a life-loving, porn-filming, death-baiting affliction to his own people.
