S20 ultra vs Oneplus 8pro or Oppo Find x2pro.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra cameras that is plagued with autofocus problems.

Samsung and Xiaomi developed the 108MP but each choose a different path of implementation. Xiaomi using a 4x1 binning and have a default output of 27MP also using HIEF output encoding (Image version of HEVC) to bring down the sizes of their pictures while Samsung resulted to 9x1 binning with 12MP Outputs which they paid dearly for.

I don't have time for long talks.

Display - Samsung
Camera - Xiaomi
Audio - Xiaomi
Performance - Xiaomi outclassed it. Antutu benchmarks are there to look at.
Design - Subjective.
IP Ratings - Samsung (For me I don't care about them)

Of all the flagship phones 2020 out there S20 has the worst main camera, the 108MP Is a lot of mess, it can't even focus.

which makes 3D image manipulation easier especially when working in OpenCV & Computer Vision frameworks that may require depth/3D analysis.
Not like i called depth sensors 3D. But if you're cool with that.

When you have a Telephoto Sensor, you don't need a Depth sensor. A ToF sensor is even better than the depth sensor if at all you must use one.

It appears that softwares are rapidly replacing hardwares (not literally)
Google has a software algorithm that implements potrait shots, with a single camera or two if i'm not mistaken. And also for object measurement which is available as an app on Playstore (Appname: Measure), without adding a compulsory depth sensor.

Thankfully, i'm on the software part of this whole thing; i expect myself to always code through things like this.

The world order is changing. There are many trends that Xiaomi set. They started the craze for bezeless phones with high screen to body ratio with the first Mix. The Mi Mix Alpha was a wonderful concept which the next Mix 4 will be built on. They are also in line to release a phone with an under display camera. The company that produce the displays for the Mi Mix Alpha, Mi Note 10 and Mi 10 series, Visionox recently announced that they have perfected the tech. Aa

The Chinese firms are quickly taking over innovation. Samsung have just lost a title they have held for close to a decade to Huawei.

Even Apple is built and assembled in China by Foxconn who as well assemble phones for other tech companies.

It will only get interesting.

In the TV Market TCL is now a major Threat to Samsung and LG. This is a company that wasn't too known not long ago.

Nah you didn't really, if you come to my house you''ll see an S20 Ultra but it doesn't belong to me, i got to spend a lot of time with it cuz we're all at home, no one is currently working.

exactly, some of the points scored by the OP really boils down to individual preference eg screen size, me no like 6.9 inch screen Sha, I feel that's alot tho, refresh rate at the expense of battery kwa, alot of people will end up setting theirs at 60hz or at most 90hz Sha.

Same 108mp yes.. But Xiaomi is using the sensor Samsung first produced..
S20 ultra is using d new sensor that has all errors from previous sensor fixed... Except autofocus sha.

Oga.. 120hz is not overkill.. All social media apps support it just so u know.. Don't compare 120 nd 90hz

D s20 ultra vs the mi 10 pro is a no contest..
The s20 is definitely the top dog.

Hate all you want but logically and objectively speaking, he is right!

Both devices are great no doubt, and I do agree that the s20ultra slightly edges out the mi 10 Pro, but... I take it that this thread was intended for just for fun/bants, devoid of practicality & so I can understand the lightheartedness with which it was created.

However, it is still a far cry from what you can call a tech review, or flagship 'battle' as the op put it.

For a fact, if you have held both devices, you will agree with me that the difference between the 8.8mm and 9mm width dimensions is negligible.
How is that for 'beating' a device? Or is it the network bands?
Okay how come the Mi 10 still feels sleeker than the s20 ultra despite its dimension 'disadvantage', according to the op?
