They put more effort into arresting the people protesting killings than the actual killers.

People like you can hardly achieve progress because enmity and hypocrisy wouldn't let happen. So, because someone clamored for a particular candidate to win an election, it mean they deserve to die and they can't change their opinion. Thank heaven that God is not man.

For some it’s sarcastic and for others it’s not. Their sarcasm is rooted in derision for those who didn’t vote like them. Implying they deserve it. Even if they do or don’t deserve, what it means generally for us as country is bigger than a few laughs at supposed enemies.

Either way this is not the time to be playing. We play too much with important stuff.

Freedom of speech the right to express opinions (even an unpopular or unsavory one) without government restraint is a democratic ideal that dates back to ancient Greece.

This is one way our government stifle our collective rights and freedom. We need growth and true selflessness in this country? We have a right to stand against these evil as the government has decided to stay blind to these pressing issues.

I believe our president was once a military personnel, so how come Buratai and service chiefs looks directionless and incapable of solving these menacehuh

They voted for incompetent person and now they are regreting it.
Nobody is happy with what the bandit are doing but we told them that buhari is not capable. He who brings ants invested wood to the house will surely play host to cockroaches.

The rate of poverty and banditry in the north should be an eye opener to all Nigerians. If these things were happening in the south, we will say the president does not care because they didn't vote for him or they're not of the same ethnic or religious group as him. I think we should wake up to the reality that competence, ability and zeal should be factors to be considered when electing our leaders and not ethnicity or religion. Yes most appointments have gone north, but what is the proportion of people with these appointments compared to the entire suffering masses, perhaps 2:98.

Protesters could even be PDP members. GEJ and Atiku got thousand of votes in Katsina state alone.

I'm not surprised, if someone was arrested for insulting the president, how much more protesting that the president should stop the mass killing in the north, then that one is over insult plus.

This is a dangerous line of thought, in my opinion: if we don't support other protesters, who will support us when it's our turn to protest (and be arrested)? It should not matter if they were paid, or PDP members or whatever. People are protesting insecurity and banditry. These will only spread as time goes on, until we settle back into the horror of 1990s.

One may not agree with their protests, but we should all support our right to protest. On what basis was the leader of a peaceful protest arrested? Will they say he violated covid19 restrictions?

On the other hand, boko bandits that openly rebelled against Nigeria are being "rehabilitated"

Well said... we need to put aside political or state-of-origin sentiments because bandits don't go around asking for ID or voters card before killing. Like the BH problem, if gov't fails to listen to citizens, it will find another monster on its hands.
