Forget where I am from, I'm a pure Nigeria and a graduate, worked a white collar Job in Nigeria before traveling to GH as now I stay in Kasua... Ghana is sweet when you have money and ready to rent house and live on your own as a hustlers, reason; Electricity, Security, Cheap food (though they don't have many varieties and doesn't know how to cook), subscription kind cheaper, business goes well their too if you're business minded, but when you want to compare to good work and white collar Job Nigeria is the best men especially if you can work for FG, oil company or politician. OP try if you can find your way to Ghana and see for yourself, you may like there but as I already said in my other post, if you already making money that is keeping you going in the Nija forget GH and find niggas wey go carry you along, but if you're a beginner enter GH Dem go build your moral |

All these haters from both sides need to really shut up. Only the low life uninformed people on both sides go around criticizing each other. Ghana has stable electricity which is very expensive. At least you don't get to hear generators buzzing your eardrums off. If you go to Ghana to do business legitimately, you have a good chance of making it. I have seen places where Naija guys and Ghana guys co-exist happily. Most churches there, you will see Naija and Ghana people together. A lot of marriages between both countries. Last year when I was there, I met so many Uber drivers who had both Nigerian and Ghanaian parents. I also met a Togolese with a Nigerian mother, met a guy whose father is from Kano state but married to a Ghanaian and the father had lived in Ghana since the early 1970s. There is even a Nigerian radio station in Ghana staffed by Nigerians with content tailored towards the Nigerian population. If you live by their laws and show them respect, you will easily get by in Ghana with no issues. The problem we have is many of our people who go there and disrespect the locals. Yes, it is normal for them to feel apprehension and all that, but if you have a clean mind, you do your business and move on with life. There is a thread here about a Nigerian who was given a chieftaincy title somewhere in Ghana. If you bring value to the society where you live, nobody will remember where you come from. Live peacefully. |

heniford2:Oga. There nothing you can do in Ghana that will give you 40k cedis in one year. Unless you wan join sakawa boys lols. I'm talking from experience. I've lived in Ghana for 2yrs. No job for you. There is no legit hustle in Ghana. Na street all man dey for Ghana. Unless you get enough cash to import food stuff from Nigeria to Ghana.. But border Don close.. So bringing in goods will be difficult. My advice is.. If you no get any strong plan.. Pls don't goto Ghana because you will suffer. If you get mind for wire-wire then you can go. But you still need someone Who will accommodate you and also show you the way. Paying rent in Accra is very expensive. Another option is.. You can visit Ghana for one week and see things for yourself. |

buddy221:So how come guys the Turks and Chinese and other nationals are making it big there? When you make a blanket statement like the bolded, you close your eyes to opportunity. A company is using bamboo in Ghana to make bicycle frames that they export to Europe and sell for minimum of $300 a piece. Just the bicycle frame. The gari I ate when I was there last year was packaged by a Nigerian company in Ghana. So is the bread. Why do we belittle ourselves so much yet foreigners come to Africa and make a killing? |

Business is a sure thingy if you have the cash. Other than business. Na street all man dey. 99% Nigerian guys there in Ghana are online workers... If you know what I mean. Going to Ghana with hope of making it big on a legit is very very low. I'm not discouraging anyone from going to Ghana. I'm just talking what I know. The company you mentioned, how many Nigerians are working for them?? There are many companies in Ghana. But they don't hire we nigerians. |

Torture2020:The Population of Ghana is 29.8 M and only that of Lagos is 17 M, what drives market?? Nigeria is shithole we all agree but you cannot take the purchasing power from Nigeria, is just the quality of life that is poor, but the probability to make money in Nigeria is higher than most places in the world, however is also easy to lose the money; so if you want to stay in Nigeria you must be sharp, but if you like easy life and where things work, get out of Nigeria. |

.. House rent depends on where you want to stay in Ghana. When I was in Ghana I stayed in North legon (Accra) we where paying close to 800k a Year. Although it was new house. We where the first to live there. You can get for less. One single room go for 80-120ghc a month. FreeMejoor1: |

OlowuJohn:Population is bullshit if most of your population is poor. One would make more money doing business in a small tiny country like Switzerland than Nigeria. Look at the average Swiss person and look at his buying power. This Nigeria has lost 1000 dollars in purchasing power parity since 2015. More people have been brought into some serious multidimensional poverty. Companies are leaving here and you say it's easy to make money. Lol. |
| Re: Hustlers Thread: Help On How Life Is At Ghana by buddy221(m): 10:22pm On Jun 19, 2020 |
Charlie.. It'z easier making money in a populated country than a smaller country. The higher the population.. The higher the consumption rate. Do not compare Ghana and Switzerland. tensazangetsu20: |

buddy221:I am talking about Nigeria. The population with massive poverty is rubbish. Nigeria's population is made up of mostly poor and illiterate people. Wetin you wan sell give them to make the billions you dey dream about. As of 2004, Nigeria has 0 billionaires and 63 million poor people by 2010 it had 2 billionaires and 120 million people in poverty. For every one billionaire produced, 20 million Nigerians sink into multidimensional poverty. The same Ghana being abused isn't the poverty capital of the world. Nigeria is. |

tensazangetsu20:My brother, that is the bitter truth. And this pandemic has further depreciated whatever fiscal value is left. For a govt to be tagging some citizens as the poorest of the poor just for a paltry palliative is unwholesome and forebordingly hopeless ![]() Quality of the population is a factor, not just population that is mainly chasing foodstuff and pharmacy for medicare. |

Investnow2017:The most painful thing is that we are even enjoying now. The future is so bleak especially if our population doubles within the next 20 years. Imagine extra 200 million Nigerians oh lord when we haven't settled the present. Crime will be so high eh. Jesu. |

Am not living in Ghana but it depends on the business type you are going in for but depends most on the capital. You are correct when you said the turks, Chinese, Indians are making it big in Ghana, that's for sure. you have to visit Ghana first and know if your business would strife well ( that's the making of your 40k cedis a year) that's if the market is there to patronize your products and do a survey if you can. There's steady electricity and security to aid your business that's if it demands such. For housing it depends on the location, for the region (Accra) would depend on the place ( you can use tonaton ghana to check for prices of a one bedroom flat) because price isn't static. But before you set up your business you have to weigh the tax of your business (what you pay as tax to the government) because it is important. Again wholesale business is recommended for foreigners not retail because it is causing a serious dispute between the foreigners and locals especially Nigerians who are into small scale business. Enjoy your stay. |

tensazangetsu20:stop spilling shit you don't know please there's no way the purchasing power of Ghana can be compare with Nigeria please both in development and human development Nigeria is far ahead of Ghana forget some paid useless data analysis |
| Re: Hustlers Thread: Help On How Life Is At Ghana by heniford2: 5:14am On Jun 20, 2020 |
even if we hate this present government we should at least say the truth we are not in the same level with Ghana bring it up or bring it down we are far bigger than Ghana some of the analysis that pops up in net are paid stuff just to discredit the said government we know we have bad politicians but Nigeria its growing too forget the currency hype a new government come on board and level it up |

Charlie see eehh! Despite the figures you quoted here which I don't believe. There is no way you can compare Nigerian purchasing power with Ghana purchasing power.. Ghana too small nah. I doubt if you have been in Nigeria before. Yes we have high rate of poverty in Nigeria. But it's still very easier becoming rich in Nigeria than anywhere else in the world. Charlie, we know our problems here in Nigeria. Nigeria is Just like U.S of West Africa. Alot of things Happen in Nigeria...Nigeria is a very very rich nation with poor citizens. tensazangetsu20: |
