These are inevitable tasks that must be carried out for the country to have a sense of direction and stability. It is no brainer.

A number of things on that list are not sustainable. Example, number two. Job creation is not the job of government but private sector. Just look at Nigeria's wage bill. Makes no sense

They foolishly destroyed the economy because of over reliance on the west.

A country that has so many professors of mechanical engineering but doesn't have an automobile plant.

What's in the that Economy Sustainability Plan that is new? It's the same thing we've been hearing for the past 21 years.

This country cannot work.

The ESC was setup to put sustainable plans in place to tackle the effect of the corona virus on the economy and map out a way to reduce the effect on the livelihood of the people. So far, the plans are very good and we await implementation of these fantastic plans, its going to be beneficial to Nigeria and Nigerians.

We need to attract more private investors to do that. Currently the cars produced in Nigeria are only 10% of the total demand. So if they stopped importation prices of cars would skyrocket.

After reading the comments on this thread I I comprehended that Communication, something so simple yet so difficult to achieve. There might be times where you share your issues with someone but you felt that they do not understand you. Worst still, they reply whatever they feel. That happens because they are purely hearing your issues rather than listening to them. That is one of the issues these days. Listen to them, give them your full attention and when you listen you will know what to reply to them. Listen to understand not to blabber what you know. People may have same life experience but they interpret it differently. Understand their interpretation, perception and thereafter reply if there is a need to.

Unfortunately many these days listen to reply not to understand (I may be guilty)

Yes indeed.Nigeria will be good in our lives, with these plans by 2023 over 5 million jobs will Be created.

Basically theory, but in practice the average Nigerian have not/is yet to see any impact of these so-called economic reforms, in fact the standard of living of the Nigerian has reduced significantly.

You are right in your analysis of the laws of supply and demand but the point I'm making is that the unpatriotic leaders are not even patronizing local car plants.
Patronage should have started by the government officially adopting locally made or assembled cars. For instance once upon a time locally assembled Peugeot was the official car in Nigeria.
Last time I checked the National Assembly snubbed local car plants to spend billions importing luxury cars from overseas. Wasting millions of dollars worth of forex.
That's hypocrisy of the worst kind.

High level economic plan with no real substance, or implementation strategy beneath it. After a while it will fade away into distant memory. EGRP was more detailed and better written than this, but where is it today.

Nigeria is really on the edge. Politicians continue to bleed this country and revenue is fast disappearing. The country should be diversifying but NNPC is busy looking for more oil in Kogi and Benue.

Government should be taking drastic decisions on wastage and spending, but for them nothing has changed. Its business as usual.

Security is non existent
Hospitals are a mess
Educational standards are rubbish
Everywhere is an environmental mess
Roads are death traps
We can't even clean our gutters consistently or effect road repairs with any urgency

CIA that said Nigeria might be a failed state by 2015 May have missed the year, but it looks like its a certainty at some point rather than a possibility. That's why almost everyone is escaping to Canada.

Nice info, another sustainability plan I've come across is FCMBs partnership with agricultural firms to produce upto 1 million meals for Nigerians in these Covid 19 times, they're also sponsoring tests too.
