A giant has fallen.
WO1 Trevor Ian Floyd was one of the Dirty Dozen - the originals chosen to be the very first SA Special Forces operators all those decades ago.

it's a hudge undless debate , and you must take into account the doctrine of use, the doctrine of russian tanks is not the same as that of the West . here some simple points

- the T90 :
- is lighter and more mobile
- has a small profile when targeted
- has composite + modular era combination armors , Konktak-5, last Relikt (more versatile, easy to replace if only era is damaged) , on abrams it's very difficult to replace damaged armour
- has Active Protection Systems , Shtora and Arena , laser warning systems (abrams hasn't)
- has a diesel engine is easy to maintain and consumes less fuel , abrams have a fragile gas turbine burning JP-8 engine, consumes a lot .
- has an autoloader for ammunitions ,and need only 3 crews , the abrams need 4 and the ammunition loader crew of the M1A2 would fatigue in combat, and eventually drop rate of fire or make mistakes when it shake during operations .
- has a longer higher caliber gun the 2A46M-5 125mm with 6000 mm long with better chamber pressure , abrams have the M256M1 120mm with 5280mm long. but the T90 gun have a shorter service life .
- the T90 can fire Anti Tank Guided Missiles such as 9M119 but need to be in stationary position to launch it , (the abrams can't )
- ammunition storage on t90 is more dangerous , under the feet of crews
- and the cost : T 90 is cheaper than Abrams ( close to the half of the abrams price)

the abrams
- has a thicker armor specially with last depleted uranium slabs on it’s front turret.
- has better electronics , ergonomic , touch screen systems but are more complex and difficult to fix when they break down , even if the T90 MS improved a lot the electronic and digital screen systems .
- separated ammunition compartment, much safer for the crew
- some will tell you has a significantly superior gun , better stabilization ( i disagree ) ,
- optronics are better from first t90 version ,
- US contract control terms , CISMOA statu ect... over use is a negative point .

for my own opinion , for nigerian army T90S , MS is better for its needs

Greetings gentlemen, I was watching this particular thing on youtube yesterday and I think any tank with bad ammo storage reduces the crew morale, as in nobody wants to die in a burning metal box

NA sending in additional units to Mongunou following the foiled ISWAP attack
Look at this handsome boys being sent to the front on soft skinned vehicles. I weep. This is a waste of resources. You send these expensive 2016 - 2019 Toyota Hilux to the fore front knowing they stand no chance against the enemy fire? The cost of each of those new generation hilux will build two Armed vehicle's for ProForce.

Interesting bomb from an su34, it seems to have a delayed fuse or maybe is borrowing into the ground before exploding
