mufutau55: LOL. The size and height of a kingpost is determined by the area and size of the building. I did a building in Lakowe golf course on my thread for 18fit kingpost. Building dimension is 14m x 26m. 1 Like |

Unibenfucker: Depending on the foundation design, depth and topography of the land. Assuming is normal foundation - roughly 2.3m thereabouts, Raft 3.5m also. This is just a rough estimate. The design would determine where blocks go or Raft beams are going to pass. So one can't be specific until the design or plan is seen. |

Dennis3D: You are right. But trust me, women could be difficult to manage sometimes even when they are involved in things. Involving them in everything sometimes may slow your pace as they seems confused and in most cases do not know what they want. Interior decoration wise, is good to carry them along. No doubt about it. 5 Likes |

Dennis3D: True, it's nice to get them involved. In my case, in any of my project, I ask her first what she will like to see in tbe building... after that... I take control of everything, not as a dictator though. If they get too much involved, the project will suffer. Stupid discussions with their other female friends... will hamper project o. And they want the house finished yesterday even before it starts. Hajji M. 6 Likes |

I'm not a builder but given u reality check . Iron , granite and cement hv captured the better part of ur money. Start with what u hv , u will see it along the line what ur cost is. My budget was lesser until i started then i saw with my eyes where my funds is going into even though i still hv few material left . Unibenfucker: |

Hello good evening everyone. I'm not a popular person on this section and thread so what I'm doing is a big ASK. Someone made enquires about handrails few days ago and I replied him. We talked and I showed him pictures of some of my jobs which he really liked. What happen to be a problem now is that he's scared of trusting a total stranger which is totally valid knowing how Nigeria is. But I know myself and I know that I don't live like that. I have worked for someone here on Nairaland and supplied to him down to Lagos from Nnewi. I happen to also sell mobile devices here to Nairalanders. These events were based on trust and none of them complained in any way. I beg that you guys help me convince him that it's possible to trust someone especially me. I intend to create a thread where everyone will follow up on the situation of the job until completion and supply. Thanks everyone

I can't blame that person that refuse to trust you anyway, someone just complain of fraud in previous page, some bad eggs has spoil some good ones. It very hard for people to trust a stranger especially online, this is the life we are living now. I have work for like 2 or 3 members of this nairaland, what I do is after we have negotiate on price and we have conclude on price, I take materials to the site(within Lagos) and I get the money into my account before installation! That is the only risk I can take to let the client know I am not a scammer. Take your own calculated risk too...beat of luck michlins: |
