IGP Trying To Legalise The Illegality Of Ikenga’s Arrest – Timi Frank by kidap(op): 9:17pm On Jun 20, 2020
A political activist and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Comrade Timi Frank, has asked the Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Abubakar Adamu not to legalise the Illegal arrest of Ikenga Ugochinyere, the CUPP spokesman arrested by men of the Nigerian Police Force on June 18.

Ugochinyere was arrested on Thursday evening June 18, in Abuja. In a statement issued by his lawyer, Chibuzor Ezike, Ugochinyere was reportedly arrested on the orders of the speaker of the House of Reps, Femi Gbajabiamila.

Remember that Mr Gbajabiamila had misdirected the House of Representatives to pass a resolution against Mr Ikenga and also to direct the Police and the State Security Services to arrest him. However, on 3° June 2020 the Federal Capital Territory High Court ordered the Police and the SSS “in clear terms not to give effect to the resolutions and acts of Mr Gbajabiamila and further restrained them from arresting or detaining in any manner our client”

However, the Police, still on the instigation of Mr Gbajabiamila had Ikenga Ugochinyere arrested against the orders of a constituted Court of Law.”

Timi Frank had earlier urged the Inspector General of Police to release Mr Ikenga unconditionally from illegal areest, also that the IGP should obey the rule of law and tender a public apology for this illegal arrest.

He further called on the IGP to be professional in his duty and not allow himself be used by some greedy Politicians.

Reacting further on Mr Ikenga’s illegal arrest, Timi Frank via his verified twitter handle @RealTimiFrank on Saturday made his opinion heard on this illegal arrest of Mr Ikenga;

“We have been briefed that the IGP is secretly working to get a court injunction against Ikenga on Monday.

“He is trying to legalise the illegality of Ikenga’s arrest.

“We are warning the IGP to be professional in his job and stay off Politics.

“Nigeria is not Banana Republic!” Timi Frank added.

Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere is one stubborn guy that APC needs to silence by every means possible before 2023.

After helping APC to hijacked power 2015, he pinched his tent with Saraki, thereby incurring the wrath's of the power that be.

He has crossed so many hurdles before, and I am sure this will also pass..

We will all see the end of the APShit 2023 beginning from Edo
