After posting the video online, Lance Corporal Martins was arrested by the authorities of the Nigerian army.

Furthermore, to the amazement of every Nigerian, the army authorities arrested his wife, Mrs. Victoria was few days later.

Mr Tope Akinyode, National President of Revolutionary Lawyer's Forum confirmed the lawsuit against the Nigerian army

According to the lawyers' forum they were aware of the unlawful detention of Lance Corporal Martins and frowns at it.
