Ondo 2020: Agboola Ajayi Dumps APC, Joins PDP by Amotolongbo(op): 4:34pm On Jun 21, 2020

Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, on Sunday resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress in Apoi Ward 2, Ese Odo Local Government Area of the State.

This came some hours after he was restrained from going out of the Government House in Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital, by the state Police Commissioner, Bolaji Salami and his team.

Tendering his resignation letter at the APC secretariat in Apoi Ward 2, Ese Odo LGA, Ajayi said everybody knew why he left the APC.

Shortly after, he went to the secretariat of the PDP in the ward where he announced his defection to the party and obtained his party card.

APC might totally fizzle out before 2023 with the rate of defections. They've lost a state governor and now a deputy governor. Good riddance to bad rubbish

The situation in 2019 was surely different from 2023.

APC had a common and unifying factor in 2019 which was PMB. More than one person has the sight to 2023 presidency. Expect some heavyweights to break away from APC before 2023.

Its only in Nigeria that two politician will be seen eating corn together and the next moment, one is thinking of how to quarantine the other.

Only in Nigeria that the deputy of a sitting governor/president will defect to another party.

It would have been better if it was for patriotic reasons, but no, because of personal gains....

Akeredolu better get himself together and deliver the state. He created unnecessary enemies for himself and now he has to face the consequences. Good enough, nonody can blame Oshiomole or Tinubu for the problem the governor is facing. APC can not afford to lose Ondo State to PDP.

And stopped many Mimiko policy. I don't see the students voting for him. I don't see some nursing mothers and health workers voting for him.
