Agboola Ajayi Appoints Sacked Aides As Personal Aides by Nobody: 4:34pm On Jun 23, 2020
Ondo State Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi has reappointed his aides sacked by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu as his personal aides.

In a statement by his media aide, Babatope Okeowo, Ajayi asked the appointees to return government properties in their possession.

The statement reads: “Ondo State deputy governor, His Excellency, Agboola Alfred Ajayi, has approved the appointment of Mr Allen Sowore as Media Adviser. The appointment takes immediate effect.

“In the meantime, all the sacked aides of the deputy governor have been reappointed as his personal aides and are hereby advised to return all government properties in their possession to the appropriate quarters within 24 hours.

“We also wish to inform the people of Ondo State and the general public that the deputy governor would speak about all contending issues at the appropriate time.”

The same fate that will befall the aides of Akeredolu, should he not be re-elected. Any aide of a politician that doesn't have his/her career outside of politics as a fall back option, should the whirl wind of politics consume his/her boss, is a compound fool

Now, this is becoming too childish. Engaging your personal aids immediately after they were sacked to me is irrational. Why not count the cost before trying to show off? Of course you need all the goodwill you can get, but it is more important to consider the financial implications before doing this.

The interesting thing is that the Governor CANNOT sack the deputy governor. I see a replay of what happened between OBJ and Atiku.

In Atiku Abubakar v AGF & Ors the court held inter alia that the President CANNOT and DO NOT possess the power to declare the office of appellant vacant or to withdraw is security details. (Inclusive of all entitlement, privileges up to his security detail). While the court frown at floor crossing (decamping) however, when it comes to executive the court may register their displeasure but the individual floor crossing is protected because the constitution did not state any effect on floor crossing by executive but when it's legislature, the legislator who is floor crossing MUST lose his legislative seat although there are 2 exceptions that such a legislator won't lose his/her legislative seat.

This man ilaje and ESE odo brothers are deceiving him. The riverine areas are known for betrayal. Akeredolu should just impeach him and pick another deputy.
People in his area are mainly PDP since d time of Agagu. If Olusola Oke misses out of APC ticket,they will vote PDP. But d power of 5k during elections is very great. Once u can successfully block ur opponent from sharing money,you win.
