The issue some have against Martial is his perceived lukewarm-ness or passive-ness or lack of aggression.

Dude jogs on the pitch and never runs. He is not aggressive, he does not show anger or emotion. Martial won't survive in a Guardiola team where players run when they are with the ball and when they lose the ball. Boy is mightily talented but his "laziness" sees him go anonymous when passes don't go his direction.

Bro, Martial is not lazy.. Very far from that.. He might not press so hard but he's never lazying around, dude times his runs to make up for any perceived lack of effort.. One doesn't need to show emotions on his face before he is considered to be serious.

Martial's biggest problem this season has been lack of service, he's expected to drop so deep to Gen an attacking play and still make it in time to the box 18 to tap in goals which isn't possible.
Watch his game today and you'll see his restricted movements to the final third because of how creative the midfield was, also watch how he came alive against Tottenham when Pogba stepped into the field (due to increased creativity).

The disrespect to him is so much that even Nigerian fans are claiming Ighalo is far off better than him. Well, I always laugh whenever I hear/read statements like that though..
Martial would still shine brighter, more is yet to come
