The person who made that remark is not a football fan. How can you say a match that is recorded by FIFA and contributes to a nation's ranking is not an official one? The Olympics is an official competition but is not a senior team competition because of age restrictions. U23 I believe.

My interest here is you trying to make an excuse for Argentina's underperformance. Portugal have had a lesser quality team than Argentina during the national careers of Ronaldo and Messi.

lol, then u don't know what's called luck, Argentina lost 3 finals in a row, and lost all, CR7 won 2/3 without deciding any of them, Zlatan and Ronaldo delima never won ucl despite having quality teammates always.

You are standing on this table you are shaking. Now you're accepting luck plays a huge role in achievements. Where is the glory then in succeeding? Don't bring in CR7, Zlatan and Ronaldo here. We're talking about their national teams. Argentina have massively underperformed comparatively. And Messi must take his share of the blame.
Portugal on the other hand, have performed quite admirably.
