The sacking of Adams Oshiomhole All Progressives Congress led-National Working Committee (NWC) has sparked jubilation in Edo State.

A loud ovation rented the air when the news on the dissolution of the NWC broke at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin City, venue of Edo 2020 Governorship primary election, BlitzPaper learnt.

But, for his kinsmen, the news is nothing to cheer about except for the affirmation of report of APC Governorship primary election for Edo State in which Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu emerged Candidate of the party.

Our Correspondent reports that the acting National Chairman of the APC, Mr Victor Giadom on Thursday announced the development at the national executive Council (NEC) meeting of the party at the state house in Abuja.

NEC also, named Mai-Mala Buni, governor of Yobe State as the Chairman of the Caretaker/extra-ordinary Convention Committee.

He was immediately sworn in by Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the Federation (AGF).

Sources at Edo State Government house hinted that the Governor was still awaited at the venue for the primaries as at the time of filing this report.

Politics is just a crazy field. Watch how a lot of those who stood by him will begin to look for ways to move towards where the new power Bloc is. His last straw now will be to see if he can put Pastor Iyamu in Edo government house, but Obaseki is out to show his might and retain his seat.
