The question is, where does the Niger root word come from?
Weather this country was named after River Niger, (which the natives called orimiri ogbaru, or omambala) or from royal Niger company is not the issue, the root word Niger is the real issue here.
Well to settle this argument, that river Niger had a native name for more than 500 years, before the whites came and gave it a name that starts from the "N" word, this is a sad reality guys.

Why didn't the white man stick with the old native name of the river? Because the first thing a slave master does is to give his slave a new name, can't you see that?

Nigerians see it one way, Biafrans see it another way. For the Biafran agitators, Nnamdi Kanu being alive is of far more value to the Biafran cause than a Kanu who is dead and has nothing more to contribute.
