FEC awards contract for dualization of Akure-Ikere road

The Federal Executive Council has approved the award of contract for dualization of the Akure-Ikere road

Ondo state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who broke the news said it came as a result of Ondo and Ekiti state governments engaging intensely with the President, Vice President and Minister for Works.

Akeredolu added that both state’s also secured funding from AfDB to augment the Federal Government’s contribution stressing that it is a great example of two states collaborating deliberately for the good of the people

The Ondo state governor said he looks forward to both state’s enjoying the benefits of the project

This road is different from the one you plied o.
This is Akure- Ikere Ekiti - Ado Ekiti road and not Akure-Ikare road

Afe Babalola will be happy. Akure Airport to Ado will be 30 to 40mins drive.
