The best way we can eradicate poverty in Nigeria, Africa is through some of our natural resources.

And the best natural resources we all have is the HUMAN resources. The political resources have failed us, the leadership resources have failed us, our natural resources have failed us, at this point, I believe it is high time we strengthened our human resources for our individual growth.

I believe once we have that, we would be able to use that power to be able to create the change we want

We need informed citizens
Our citizens are not informed, some don't even know their rights, why will anyone risk their lives to rig election for someone who has kept him and his family in poverty for years?
I don't think rioting, or fighting political leaders would solve any of our problems in this part of the world because if you are a NOBODY, you can not win all these people

I believe if we want to create the change we want, we would have to be in a position of power as well, even if not up to a very high level, but at least out of poverty.

Nigeria has everything to not only eradicate poverty, but also to engender prosperity. Look at what we earn every year from the sale of oil.. An amount that is double the entirety of global nickel and cocoa industry sales for example. Just one country. No real organizing principle. Very undisciplined institutions and straight up parochial officials and leaders.

What stops Naija from creating village and township industries scattered all over the country in different areas of expertise. People make do with what is around them, get educated to better harness their physical surroundings and receive subventions from govt for activities which would ofc attract private funds, once proven to be profitable. The cities are already major service centers and concentrated markets. They will see more activity as growth happens. More jobs for those leaving school of any kind (HND, BSc, SSCE etc )

Actual real sector growth (manufacturing of all kinds, food processing ) for once in forty years. But no, the ogas at the top no gree. And ofc most ppl can't really start worrying about such macro scale visions when they have to solve immediate hunger and shelter problems. Naija leaders no try at all.

Its state capture my man they know all these things but wouldnt do it .its a system of keeping majority of the people poor

Yup that's why they're rent seekers. I dont even have a problem with state captute per se. Cos it'll be self deceit to expect the holders of the levers of power not to use it selfishly.

Just allow the regular local man live eh.

Poverty is natural phenomenon which cannot be eradicated. If you cannot eradicate affluence then you cannot do same to poverty.

You are right its human resources is the key buthe problem is not political. Do we really understand the immense potential human resources can achieve? That job is not obly for politicians but for everyone. If one understands his importance, he wo t collect 500# to co stitute a nuisance on behalf of one politician

Well in Nigeria ,you have to be a somebody before you can effect any change, it's not that way in saner climes.. that's why it's been difficult getting the right people with right intentions into political offices.

It is the same everywhere and not just Nigeria.
You cannot effect change without being somebody.
