lockdown started since we had zero cases, inspire of the illegal lockdown cases are 20k plus, yet they still want to lockdown.

people need to speak up against forced house arrest, cos this is really what's happening.

its time for govt to admit that the lockdown is a failure for a disease they say has come to stay, what's d point of a lockdown?

Our government are a bunch of Jokers. Increasing cases indeed, wait they were expecting the cases to just start magically dropping all of a sudden.
100k tests carried out after 4months, that's less than the population of a LG area, where other countries of our population have tested millions and we're expecting cases to drop.
Where other countries are using rapid test kits to test millions, NCDC blocked use of rapid test kits, using only lab testing that takes days for results to come out.
Some of the positive cases coming out today are people that got the virus weeks or even months ago.
When a country has clowns for leaders, na we the people wey go dey suffer.

So, lock down is now a threat??! Meaning it is meant to be a punishment to the impoverished citizens!!! Wonders shall never end!!!

You lock people down as a key process of disease containment, only after proper provision of palliatives is in place... Where are the palliatives??! So, why "threaten" to do something you know is impossible for you to carry out or sustain??!...

Bloody slow country with idiotic leaders!!!

They won't!!! They know it is economically inconceivable and not feasible at all!... They are merely trying desperately to come off as proactive!!!

This sickness knows no pdp or apc. Ethnicity does not influence its infection. The only thing that has been useful, globally, is qualitative medicare and this can only come from good leadership. My fear is that this apcshit leadership will destroy and take away many lives because of their active mediocritic style of leadership in every sphere of national institutions.

The lockdown initiated at first accross many states in Nigeria was wrongly timed. It's like the PTF on Covid 19 were advising Buhari to make decisions similar to what they watched happen in Europe and America on CNN and Aljazzeera. When Europe and America started talking about a flattened curve showing Covid 19 incidence, morbidity and mortality rates, Nigeria had no curve to look at cos our figures were so inconsistent and looked like a scattered diagram graph, making it difficult to notice a trend line. Now our leaders have suddenly realized that logically this would have been the right time to lock down. Most Nigerians who suffered during the last ill-timed lockdown will shun this directive, damning the consequences

What are you even on about... At no point in this nation will lock down ever work!!! Not a damn point!!!...

No nation carries out a successful lock down without providing sufficient and sustainable palliatives to all citizens!!! None!!!

Nigerian leaders are not prepared to make such sacrifices or provisions to even a quarter of their citizens. They have never been prepared!!! They will NEVER be prepared!!!

Y'all should forget this lock down talk... Test all you want, do what ever contact tracing, etc... The disease must run its course through this nation!!! Many will survive, some will die, and eventually it will fizzle out!!!... This is the harsh reality your leaders are pretending not to see!!!

I want to ask, how are they teaching students at home?
From primary to tertiary?
Or, did they abandon them?
Re: Lagos, Osun Threaten Fresh Lockdown As Cases Hit 23,298 by gabicon: 9:21am On Jun 27, 2020
The very concept of lockdown is useless if we don't intend to massively increase testing. Our health institutions are already overwhelmed, should we lockdown, increase testing, and do contact tracing, where are we going to house the COVID-19 patients?

Nigeria has drifted to herd immunity but our government are acting like they are on top of the situation.

Interpret it anyhow you deem it fit, who cares? People hate lockdown all over the world. And if they won't follow the guidelines, lockdown becomes a threat to make them have a rethink. It's up to them whether they prefer following the guidelines or be under the lockdown

The law enforcement officers should do there job by arresting those that are not keeping to the rules laid down..nose mask is a big problem to some people ehh...let's be realistic with ourselves..the government are tired also of keeping people at home but they need our support also.
