I am sure he has done his badges long ago. With his experienc, he shouldn't be starting from a 5th tier in a farmers league like France

Did his badges when, where? When last did you hear of him? His experience is in goalkeeping and not coaching. He needs something to make reference to in order to attain his dream position. There are many ex players and keepers of his era that would be glad to be in that position.

He needed to start from somewhere. You don't know his competence more than himself. All this while he was supposedly idle, no one remembered that our all time greatest goal tender was idle. Now he's making a move, you're saying it's not enough. He was our best but at the global stage, the competition is stiff. The most important thing is that he's moving forward.
