Ikwerre is not Igbo politically. But I'm sure Chibuike Amaechi means something in Igbo. I don't know where and how this Bini origin story became the most popular but in ernest many Ikwerre clans have different history of origin. Personally I can trace my own origin to Awka in Anambra. Some to Etche, Some to Aro, some to Imo state.


Pls, sit Amaechi down and interview him asking why he feels he's Igbo and not Ikwerre and hear from him. No carry another person matter weigh me.

To be a Nigerian president, you need a full time support base from one of the tripod, and then reach out to the other two.

We embraced GEJ because the typical Igbo fights for equity , justice and fairness, and we recognized the fact that GEJ and the minorities deserved a shot at the presidency.

Actually the problem of Nigeria did not begin in 1999. And Amaechi since his foray into politics only had 8yrs to prove his worth. Those 8yrs was when he was governor of Rivers. And he did prove himself beyond doubt as a very credible and futuristic governor. If he becomes President, Nigeria is better for it. Osinbajo too, in those days when he was Acting President, showed signs of a responsible leader. Either is Ok by me.
