Honestly, this is the most nepotic project I have ever seen. You are right my brother.

The south south and south east are on a long thing in this country. $2.8 Billion Dollars is not a small money talk more of when you covert it to naira. Why are they channeling the resources of this country to the northern part neglecting the states that produces this resources and nobody is saying anything.

I pity anybody shouting one Nigeria in this country. Because is obvious it does not exist.

Hush. Gas from rivers state is used to power Alaoji gas plant in Abia. SE gets majority of its gaz from SS

No bruh.

Many towns in Abia also experience near constant electricity. Even some districts in Aba
ABA is a special case they have a power plant dedicated to ABA by geometric that's off grid

The SE are really losing much in this country grin

And unless they wake up and demand PDP for a chance to Govern Nigeria (which can't happen anyways) North and SouthWest would take more and more developmental loan building ports and rail, and SouthEast won't get anything and must pay back since they claim to all be billionaires

I see hope for Nigeria. If we can truthfully without prejudice export our gas to the northern part of Africa. Then, we will make more money on gas then the oil.

My comment on the post you quote was.

All towns / villages and cities, I didn't said most towns.
Then I said none of your states can boost of 18hrs of light per day, you should know that I'm not talking of a particular location within a state, I'm referring to all the towns within the state.

Don't just jump into discussions.

Osun is a rural state and one of the very poor States in Nigeria. Ilesa is a rural town . Omole established trophy breweries which is the only major industry. The town is rural. You people should stop Osun discussion and focus on the topic

In my honest opinion, this is a senseless project for the simple reason that spending that $2.8billion to build just the pipeline would have built the largest Solar farm in the world(2500MW) right in Kano which could probably supply all of the Electricity needs of North West Nigeria.
There is some much sunlight wasting away in the north it’s a no brainer spending that much to build a pipeline to transport gas from the Niger Delta when has availability is not even guaranteed.

The current largest Solar Power Station in the world is in Pavagada, India @ 2000MW. It cost $2.1b. With $2.8, there is no reason not to do something like that with that kind of money.
Billions of dollars worth of gas has been burnt/wasted every year for the past 50 years in the form of flares which damages the environment in the niger delta. Now this gas is about to be converted to wealth than can give Nigeria an additional revenue in the range of over $5bn annually and will also stop/reduce the environmental damage in the delta region caused by incessant gas flaring but you think this is a bad project?

You need to educate yourself properly on what this project is about before rubbishing what you know not about. This is one of the best investment moves Nigeria has made in the last 21 years. An invaluable investment like this should never be carelessly sacrificed on the alter of this north vs south prejudice.
