CHARLOE:I used the abusive language on purpose. If you understood Nairaland, you will know these guys have been calling Yoruba countless name like Fulani slaves even when history perfectly justified that Igbos have always been the sole Fulani slaves. Tbh, it’s not even an abusive language, it’s just a strict use of words. |

sesan85:Abi o jare!!! After ojukwu don unilaterally and forcibly "liberated" our land from the nigerian army of mainly northern extraction, he will be the only one to tell us when he believes we are capable of ruling ourselves and maintaining our sovereignty. We, wey don build enviable empire whilst his (ojukwu's) forefathers were still running amok, half-clad in the jungle. (iv) Biafran troops will, after the liberation of the Yorubaland, remain in that territory only for as long as we in Biafra consider it necessary for the Yorubas to consolidate their position and sovereignty against any external threat. |

gartamanta:Dude shut up! Did Yoruba people tell the ugly hippopotamus Ojukwu to "liberate" them? What sort of grandiose delusions and paranoia is inherent in you Igbos exactly? You cowards couldn't even liberate yourselves yet you wanted to "liberate" a people who didn't call for your help? The same people who brought your Biafla to its knees? Imagine a "stateless" people like Igbos wanting to occupy Yorubaland and appoint Administrators for it, lol. Yoruba people don suffer! |

gartamanta:Geez! Why are you folks so full of mischief? Every fibre of your being just oozes tomfoolery, effortlessly. Why was ojukwu so concerned with the plight of the yorubas who at no time solicited for his aid? So according to your deduction, yorubas were happy been slaves but why then did Ojukwu insisted on freeing them by fire by force? Unless of course, he had his own ulterior motive which evidently and as you have just concurred with, was to enslave us. No be today you guys don dey beef us simply because we refused to bow to your domineering propensity in our land. Last time, you called it "carpet crossing" |

sesan85:lol in 1994 you guys were shouting Oduduwa or death and calling on all Nigerians to help you actualise your June 12 mandate. You will shout that again soon. Learning the hard way is a yoruba pastime |

selemempe:Who told Ojukwu to "liberate" Yorubaland when he couldn't liberate his own people and later fleeing to the Ivory Coast like a coward as his people were dying en masse? |
| Re: The Incredible Letter Ojukwu Wrote To Victor Banjo At The Start Of The War(pic) by gartamanta(op): 1:50pm On Jun 28, 2020 |
T9ksy:Who can blame Ojukwu? The Northerners had overrun the West, reduced Yorubas to slaves and taken over Lagos from where they were going to oversee the war and total take over all of Southern Nigeria. It was a gamble to send Banjo to Lagos to dislodge the Northerners. What Ojukwu never knew until much later was that Yorubas had embraced the slave status to the North. Thats how Yorubas idly stood in Lagos, which they claim to own, and a small boy like Gowon came and chased away a whole Brigadier Ogundipe, a Yoruba man who should have been president, then took over. Ojukwu wasted vital resources that could have been used elsewhere, trying to save Yorubas who had embraced slavery to the North with open arms |

gartamanta:See why i called you, mischievous? Wtf do you mean by "Northerners overrun yorubaland"? When and how did they invade the west like Ojukwu's BLF did, to overrun the west? if you can't answer these simple questions, i will advice you to desist from making such fallacy again in the future. So, i guess you will agree with me then that Ojukwu was grossly incompetent IF he was ignorant of the yorubas purported slavish nature to the north and ended up focusing his meager but valuable resources after a lost cause. |

T9ksy:Notherners siezed Ibadan, killed you military Governor, seized Lagos, chased away your son Ogundipe who should have been head of state, put Gowon in his place. What else do you need to know that the Western Region was overrun? And there was Ojukwu thinking to send a liberation force to fight the common enemy, the North. Little did Ojukwu know that he was wasting his scarce resources on those who chose to be slaves of the North |

I know one fact: all the figures in the pre- civil war and civil war crises are selfish and egocentric. They drew the then promising nation to a crises that it has not and may never recover from because of Nothing but Selfishness, Pride, Naivety as well as Personal Disagreement. Unfortunately, they are also skilled charlatans and master propagandists that succeeded in writing their names indelibly in our hearts as our heroes and Saviours. |

DenreleDave:Igbo land was not in bondage, Ojukwu had already declared it an independent state of Biafra Why did he flee and left 3 millions to dieBecause the only people who would have benefited from him being killed would have been Nigerians Why did he campaign for shagariOjukwu returned from exile, accepted 'one Nigeria', joined politics. Why wouldn't he campaign for Shagari? |

gartamanta:Imagine, the same people you fought for Biafra. U still came to campaign for them.. They killed 3 million of ur kinsmen and u still campaigned for them.. One thing I notice from you igbos on nairaland is, even if u r wrong, u will still deny being wrong and claim right... A man still campaigned for those he fought against and killed 3 million igbos.. Why would he campaign for Fulani again?? Oya answer this question again 1. Why did Azikwe threatened War against Hausa n yoruba if they ever think of secession?? 2. Why did igbos Ojukwu and ironsi crushed Niger Delta Boro secession and they later declared Biafra again?? 3. What role did Nnamdi Azikwe an igbo played during the world War? 4. Why did Azikwe sideline with Hausa Fulani to spit Awolowo even? 5. How come ojuwku was not even voted in his local govt and even lost a senatorial post 6. Why would ojuwku come back to the country he fought against to collect his military benefit and given a state burial 7. What benefit did the slained Biafra soldiers get or was their any benefits given to the family of the slained Biafra soldiers I need an intelligent igbo to answer me. DenreleDave:1) that's a complete lie and stupid propaganda you guys have been pushing ...so zik was so powerful his one vote was more than the two votes of awolowo and bello ? 2)there are rules to succession u must have the legal backing of the people ,..u can't just wake up and impose your idea on your people ,the ijaw leaders never called for break up ...adaka was a no body ...he didn't have the backing of his people ....even kalu he can't declare Biafra independent instead he ask for referendum ....ojukwu had the backing of the Eastern region leaders to officially declare Biafra ...infact it was ijaws that pushed for it 3)zik was a pan africanist ...he always saw the bigger picture of Africa uniting to form a bigger country to rival the west ....so to him breakup made no sense ...and he was wrong 4)lol so if u were zik u would work with a man who denied your party leadership in the western Nigeria based on tribalism ? Few years back , the man who removed the second highest traditional ruler in Yoruba land just because his your friend ? If that's not hatred I don't know what that is ...no body wanted to form a government with awolowo ...not the north , not the east ..he was to Corning 5) igbos have no leaders ojukwu was only a leader in the war .. because his idea matched the idea of many igbos ... after the war was done ..it's was over we owed him nothing 6) igbos believe in agreement , he honored the agreement Philip the biafean leader signed ... Simple 7) you should ask the federal government only , and people who control resources can pay benefits ... |

Obamaofusa:I have finally found a man who had a better understanding, of an agenda that was hatched even before independence. An average Yoruba man is carefree about life, and it takes a man who can see beyond the barrier like Awolowo, to bury such agenda. This is why I'm still with a man like Tinubu, omo ina la ran si ina. Nitori were ita la se ni ti inu ile. This game is like the ilu " agidigbo ", ologbon lo njo, omoran lo nmo. |
