This is the real meaning of incompetence. They refused foreign investors from gaining access and refused to move foward afterwards. The fool's corruption fighter refused to terminate the dubious contract

Try to study d terms and conditions involved agreed upon by Jonathan's administration before blaming d present government.

Thank u bro, we dontneed to be sentimental about these issues, am not a buhari fan but we need to talk with facts, it will take a lot of years for things to get back to order in these country. its only someone that doesnt care and as a strong heart that can make it happen. It will be very hard to collect the disco back from the present oprerators cos it will cause something else. So i believe more private investors should come in, we can have like 3 discos in a state and you are allow to connect with any one u like. Competition makes investors sit up.

108 times in 7 years translate to minimum of once in a month averagely. Again, it means the service is getting poorer and charging continues to increase. Nigeria is a place where odds are abound.

The contract can't be easily terminated as you think.

The first step in solving Nigeria's problem is by providing uninterrupted power supply without doing this we are going nowhere

Why not dedicated the grid power infrastructures to industries and leave Nigerian household on generators until solar and batteries become a viable option to replace generators and PMS.

Nigeria many countries are in automatic we are still in manual because they elites are benefiting. what pains me most is how the come up with the huge biro written bills without electricity ,if you ever ask of prepaid metre that's when you will know the 36 states. from one office to another and laslas na Abuja after months or years we still have a long way to go.

Nigeria should have gone past power challenges already.

power should not have been among the challenges we are having in this country.

you can see how backwards we are and how shameless the government is.

how can we still be battling with electricity in this country?

this is too shameful.

rubbish government.

You don't just insult your president cos u have access to the internet. Ain't you aware that FG can't terminate the contract without paying $8B in compensation to Disco? Blame those who allowed the dubious clause to be inserted during the negotiation and eventual signing of the contract in 2013.

What are u saying? how many people get money to buy Gen, maintain it and continuously fuel it and do you know how much it costs to mount solar that can power several household appliance, how many people can afford that?.. this is not rocket science? It is the responsibility of the government to provide steady power supply and that is where we should start from.

... And that's because the system is archaic and cannot withstand the light plan of the new management.

They promise 3 hours on and 3 hours off
In some areas it is 6 hours on 6 hours off.

This is an improvement compared to what the old NEPA was known for but then... The 'old' grid can't handle this.
