(iv) Biafran troops will, after the liberation of the Yorubaland, remain in that territory only for as long as we in Biafra consider it necessary for the Yorubas to consolidate their position and sovereignty against any external threat.


(vi) The liberation of Western Nigeria will be a prelude to the liberation of all Yorubas up to the River Niger and the severance of all connections between the West and the North at Jebba.

Biafra was not a Midwest project why was their popular non Igbo Gov Ejoor who was appointed by Ironsi and reappointed by Gowon removed to make way for an Igbo Gov Okonkwo whom they never wanted or asked for? Igbo were not the Majority in the Midwest , What business did Ojukwu have imposing his kinsman on a majority non Igbo population? Can you see why the invasion of the Midwest was so unpopular with the locals?

What are you talking about? Ejoor is an Uhrobo man and Uhrobo were not a majority in the old Midwest. Major Albert Okonkwo was also a Midwesterner. If the Midwesterners were unhappy with the invasion of the Biafran forces, worse was to happen to them when the mainly Northern Nigerian forces invaded the Midwest and drove the Biafran forces out. The Midwest recorded one the highest massacres of civilians by the Nigerian Army. Not only that, Gowon renamed the Bendel state and those who followed divided the place into Edo and Delta and handed all their resources to the Federal Government

A thriving Midwest that had resource control under Ironsi and was declared an independent Republic by Ojukwu is now made up of two unitary states that are begging for 13% derivation in Nigeria. All of this because they accepted Northern domination like the Western Region

Ojukwu wanted Southern Nigeria to be free of Nigeria and Northern domination, the rest chose to remain in Nigeria under Northern subjugation. A pity

How bad of Ojukwu to send Biafran troops to the West to rescue Yorubas after their Military Governor, Fajuyi, had been killed like a Chicken and their most Senior Military officer who was supposed to be the next head of state, Ogundipe, had been chased away from Lagos and the Western Region occupied by the Northerners.

Yorubas cannot make any laws the North does not agree with as the North has majority of the National Assembly by far

Today, the Yorubas cannot control any resource on their land unless the North agrees to restructuring

Yorubas fought to be slaves to the North when Ojukwu was fighting for his people to be free from Northern domination

There are so many of these kind of histories, people don't just read, when they do, they exhibit intentional myopia by pretending not to see the facts, and would rather peddled rumours.

The same thing Ojukwu complained in 1966 is still happening today.
