When the time comes, someone will be presented I guess. Dear SE have crop of quality leaders that will take this country on another higher level and raise the bar of our democracy.
Just know that the SE candidate would still go through the primaries like others, nobody is making any candidate an automatic flag beare, everyone would test his popularity

I don't need to argue with you over this , I live in Onitsha and I type from there currently, try and make any Onitsha freind and verify this , every single Onitsha person believes they are not igbo hence the phrase "Nwa onye igbo" son of igbo man , this is how they will call you in all there conversations , ask around . my point is FG caused all this , we know our territory so if anybody within our territory becomes president wether he identify with us or not is non of my business , you can choose not to be ok but me I am ok , he can choose to work in the north like Jonathan did but honestly speaking if my brother deny me I can not deny him.
You're just being naive, and if you continue with that mindset, then know that people will always be taking advantage of you and exploiting you mercilessly.

I live in Onitsha as well, "Nwa onye Igbo" they use mostly are increasingly being dropped by rhem.
They know and believe they're Igbos and always proud of it even with their Bini, Igala partial ancestries.
Tell an Onitsha that he's not Igbo and see the way he will look at you, that your phrase was mostly in the past when they want to differentiate themselves from other Igbos because they were more educated and felt most enlightened

imo
You're from Imo yet you're here advocating for a people that always deny their roots whenever it suits them?

Please desist from preaching love to those that deny you. Try and have some dignity and stop this show of shame. If Amaechi believes he is Igbo and accepts it wholeheartedly, then he should go to Ogbakor Ikwerre and inform them. He belongs to a soceity/group that distances themselves from the larger Igbo race. So, he can't belong to two different ethnic groups at the same time. You can't eat your cake and still have it.

Majority of people in Delta North accepts their Igbo identity and we will always identify with them as brothers unlike those that are neither here nor there.

And i have never said Ikwerres are igbos and we can never be igbos.

If Amaechi claims igbo it’s his business

Why we might accuse the southwest for being selfish for their presidential ambition 2023 bc their zone has produced democratical president, what we will say about South South that has also produced presidency and are still eyeing the seat?

Please let's do the right thing. SE deserve to be supported to.

They have supported Obasanjo from SW. PDP
Supported Goodluck Jonathan from SS PDP
Supported yaradua from NORTH PDP
Supported Atiku from NORTH. PDP

SE should be supported too. They need the presidency too as much as every zone.
The common denominator in the whole thing you wrote is PDP.. So what you are supposed to say is Igbo deserve the presidential ticket on the platform of pdp and all organs of the party should support it.. You Cannot tell kowa or fresh party or APC that you supported a region so, you deserve their presidential ticket for 2023 and point to pdp candidates to them as an example of your support .. Charity begins at home collect pdp ticket first then tell others afterall some of them have brought Igbo candidates before you turned your backs on them and went for PDP.. Your wages is most justified in pdp..

IkwerrePikin:
Rotimi Amaechi is the best bet for the Igbos come 2023 even as he has declared himself an Igbo man in several occasions! Though his kinsmen from the Ikwerre ethnic nationality has always made it clear over the years that they are not Igbos but Ikwerre people who trace their origin to Benin Kingdom which the Oba of Benin just like his late father also confirmed on his visit to Port harcourt.

But the truth is that, Rotimi Amaechi is more acceptable to Nigerians especially to the Yorubas and Hausa-Fulani compare to any Igbo politician today.

Rotimi Amaechi who is so loved by Buhari, was a former speak 8yrs, Governor 8yrs, Gov forums chairman, Minister 8yrs and Campaign director general that defeated PDP and brought Apc to power, he is greater than all Igbo politicans put together and have achieved more In terms of leadership, popularity more than any igbo politician today!

The bitter truth is: Majority of Nigerians are not comfortable voting an Igbo man because you play ethnic politics, you guys are too tribalistic and Nigerians can’t trust you with Nnamdi Kanu biafran struggle.

The igbos better drum support for Rotimi Amaechi now because he is the only person that can help you Igbos when he gets there. He is far better than the hausa-fulani or Yoruba with his Igbo wife from Anambra. Though Ikwerre people have always maintained their Benin Origin, most Igbos see Rotimi Amaechi as Igbo because in today Nigeria, Igbo President can not be achieved now.

Nobody will give you President, you have to fight for it! If Igbo say they have not ruled what about Urhobor,Ibibio,Ogoni and so on?? Stop playing ethnic politics, face reality, and go for what you know you can achieve and benefit from. If you igbos want to play politics base on ethnicity you will loose and keep losing!

As it stance, the igbos are confused with Biafra and Nigeria. Nobody is forcing you to remain in Nigeria, and Nigerians will not beg you people to remain Nigerians with Presidency, it can not happen, else another region will come out tomorrow to threaten Nigeria existence with demand for presidency.

if you want to be President fight for it, stop going on social media and newspapers saying Igbo have turn, who gave you the turn? where was it written? What about other tribes that have not ruled before in the Niger delta but have been feeding Nigeria for years? Ijaw, ikwerre, Ibibio, Urhobor, Benin are different ethnic groups just like the Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa and so on!

So stop the Igbo have turn ideology, because it won’t work that way, if want to be President fight for it and you will achieve it with time and not by saying Igbo have turn, it doesn’t work that way.

Rotimi Amaechi, with his Yoruba name, Igbo name and from the Niger delta region, signifies a Southern Unity and we all know Amaechi is less corrupt, honest, hardworking and fair in his style of leadership over the years from Speaker to the position he is now!

No Politician in Southern Nigeria today can stand Rotimi Amaechi in terms of political experience and achievement with numerous positions he has occupied over the years till date.

I know igbos on Nairaland will not like this but this is their best bet and the real Igbos know this!
Nigerians should stop been foolish by dancing to tribal politics. d north with many years of been in power is still less developed

But Ikwerre is never Igbos so Rotimi Amechi is not Igbo. That's the logic we have lived and loved to respect and nobody should pull wools from the eyes of Igbos again. Politicians and tricks, but it will not work this time. Amechi should vie for president as an Ikwerre man, simple!

You've been played already. Amaechi saw a loop hole by your shout of we SE-SS and took it, we warned u severally of your attache by force ,is Rivers not Biafra land again?Amaechi is Igbo, deal with it.

ChimaAdeoye:
Goodluck Ebelemi Jonathan was an Ijaw man. But he played his cards very well with the Igbos, and got their support. Atiku is a Fulani man, but he played his cards very well with the Igbos and got their total support.

Although i know a yoruba man is behind the the moniker "IkwerrePikin". However, If Amaechi plays his cards well with the Igbos, he will get their support. But, if he thinks he can threaten them by saying support me or else, then he will fail the Buhari way.

You cannot threaten the Igbos about what you won't do for them because they have been used to surviving without anything good from Nigeria.

So if you want their support, court them and earn it. Articles like this with a sublime threat against the Igbos do more harm than good.
In the end, all these senseless maneuvers by Yoruba, the will see they ended up playing themselves.
I don't know whats your fear of SS got to do with Yoruba, u guys said Rivers is part of Biafra , now your son Amaechi is about taking Igbo's slot u are shouting Yoruba, are u ok?

Amaechi is a good choice any-day.

I thought SS/SE were one and the same. Why the sudden denial? Because he's APC? Yet you're eyeing APC's Presidential slot?

The more you beat the drum of tribal politics, the more Nigerians will continue dancing on your confused heads.

You see these igbos, they only shout ikwerre is igbo, Rivers is biafra just because they want to have long leg in Rivers state but for an Ikwerre to be President they are kicking against it. Lol

I don't actually comment on post like this, but to set the record straight I want to state it categorically that ikweres are not Igbo's and we the Igbo's will never accept them as Igbo's,next time you want to try your stupid cheap blackmail don't involve the Igbo's,if it happens that we need an igbo president from ss,and we have to choose among the Igbo's in ss we no Igbo's in ss.....not ikweres Bini....beside what we need is se igbo president......ikweres are Bini people period... If they are mistakenly included in Biafra I as an Igbo man will denounce being a biafran!! Nonsense.
