There were indications that the Ondo State Commissioner for Health, Dr Wahab Adegbenro, has died of COVID-19 on Thursday.

Members of staff at his Crown Hospital at Oja Oshodi, Akure, the state capital, were seen crying and the neighbours to were lamenting the sudden death of the commissioner.

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu only disclosed his own COVID-19 status via his Twitter handle on Tuesday but was silent on other members of his cabinet who were on admission at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH).

Some news are misleading.

Every death is attributed to Covid-19 now.

He had not been confirmed to be Covid-19 positive before how could he possibly die of Covid-19

Out of 180m we have tested less than 150,000
Alot of us have the virus , if u are lucky u survive , but as poor younger person u stand a better chance than old politician, which might has been on drugs from tensions they encounter in their lines of duties, so when coro strikes , no defense !

The number of deaths of public service holders from sickness of natural causes have not been this bad. Since there is a global pandemic that has claimed over 500,000 lives, it is logical to believe that most of the deaths are from COVID-19. A lot of common men have died from it not only politicians. Our low testing capacity has not helped matters. Many people are still living in denial. When a poor man dies, they say its malaria.
