Electricity distribution companies (Discos) are defrauding the federal government by claiming subsidies on electricity not provided to customers, and also...ripping off non-metered customers through estimated billing.

These Discos have also gone to court to stop a forensic audit of their finances.

The greed is just senseless and borders on sheer wickedness.

Lalasticlala, please this thread gotta move to the front page. Thanks.

And what exactly does the power sector need $750m loan for?

And why would international finance organisations keep approving loans for Nigeria given our antecedents of financial recklessness?

Please let's take this petition to 100 signatures. The petition is for better electricity before increasing electricity tariffs.

Please sign the petition and let's drive a reform in the distros. Electricity distribution is very inefficient and the distros keep making money off Nigerians... while NERC folds its arms.

To fix the already over-budgeted fund-eating monster called the power sector relied upon by every batch of corrupt squad, for the further enrichment of their unsatisfied opulent lifestyle.

UmehzEmmanuel:

Because they know any of the baztards their colonial setup brings to leadership position is expected as usual to siphon loaned money back to their country through sophisticated laundry means thereby forever sinking Zoogeria into financial slavery.

Until Nigerians are metered.

We can't make any progress in power
