You know yourself and your likes supporting the north before, during and after the war.

Jide ile gi ebe osiso.
Yorubas have been supporting the north since and will not stop...

Atiku/Obi joint ticket to contest on PDP platform is what if I may ask?. Fulani/Ndigbo political alliance is right while Yoruba/Fulani alliance is evil according to you.

The civil war was NEVER a religious war. Neither Biafra led by Ojukwu (a Christian) nor Nigeria led by Giwon (also a Christian) were Theocratic States.

Please don't attempt to give it a religious colouration.

Dedetwo:
Did so-called Christians in Yoruba land not joined hand with the jihadist to fight predominantly Christians in Biafra? The entire Christians in northern region equally joined hands with northern jihadists to kill Christians in Biafra. The issue of Biafra will always resurrect the instances of old enemies.

Whoever call for genocide against the Igbo in Yorubaland is on his or her own. We have never been known for that and will never be. Take that from me. We don't attack those who don't attack us.
You are a great human.Peace!

From available record, Ndigbo have always been part of governance of Nigeria since Independence except during the civil war.

What Ndigbo fails to realize is that Ipob propaganda and hate speech is triggering ethnic nationalism all over the country. And Ndigbo may be at the receiving end with time.
Oh really? And other armed groups like Boko haram, killer herdsmen, Niger Delta Militants and all the armed bandits in the North that are killing people daily are helping to build a strong nation?

Someone is talking about IPOB propaganda, hate speech and the throwing of stones in a country where other groups have long taken up arms and are massacring people with reckless abandon?

A country where other people are carrying AK47 slaughtering people, raping women, burning down communities but another persons problem is hate speech and the throwing of stones?

Common sense can be a rare commodity

Ndigbo should be part of the solution and not part of the problem Nigeria is facing.

Bulleye:
Before Nwodo, Nnamdi Kanu once gave order that Kumuyi, Deeper Life General Overseer , should be stoned if he dared step his feet in Abia for a crusade. Deeper Life called off the crusade. Ndigbo did not rise up in unison to condemn Kanu. To them Kanu was dealing with a Yoruba person. Body of Christ was less important than Biafra struggle. Kanu was on course.Biafra first and the end justified the means.

It was Igbo nationalism at its peak. Ndigbo saw all non - Igbo as enemies and Nnamdi Kanu was given the assignment to deal with them all. And he was doing a fantastic job.

Not until he attacked Nwodo did Ndigbo wake up that there are "elders". All the elderly people of non - Igbo extraction deserved insults. Ndigbo elders being insulted? No way! This is hypocrisy of highest order. Perhaps if Ndigbo had cautioned Nnamdi Kanu over his attack on Kumuyi, he would not have issued the stoning order on Nwodo. Kumuyi did not deserve respect from Ndigbo but Nwodo does.

Blood is really thicker than water and Ndigbo should also allow other ethnic nationalities to protect and honour their elders. Not even the body of Christ could make Ndigbo respect Kumuyi. It was Biafra first and Christ second.
You made valid points here.
All those who support Nnamdi Kanu, irrespective of what he says, are as dumb and as guilty.
Thing is, most Nigerian youths have lost the capacity to think for themselves.

We have been trampled upon and emasculated so much by politics and politicians, we have all become sheep.
Very sad

Ipob is not helping matters. The propaganda from Ipob must be checked otherwise it might be taken as the truth.
Many people on nairaland are very daft. Can I refer to every Yoruba man as Afenifere? Or OPC? Why do you people refer to all Igbos as IPOB?

I am a proud Igbo man and I don't support MNK or IPOB. Although I don't blame them in their agitation for Biafra because of the marginalization and many factors, but I don't support the way they go about things.

Learn something today, every Igbo is not IPOB.

The way out is that we the people firstly must embrace that we all have our differences.....and we must then only that our current leaders are not there for us.....we must know our rights......we must then choose sensible and reasonable leaders whom we shall hold responsible........we shall not vote based on tribe or belief or whatever.....we must cooperate and refuse interference be it national or international.....when any of us gets there, we must then represent our people effectively.....and many more

As far as 2023 is concerned Ndigbo are in a catch 22 situation. They have boxed themselves into a tighter corner. The odds are really against them. With Ipob it is a catastrophe.
Please stop blackmailing Igbos with 2023 presidency. Some hpeople agitated for northern presidency in 2015 and they got it. But Katsina is worse than it was in 2015.

While I will not go into details of how OPC came to be, however it is important to know that every Yoruba person was held responsible for every infraction of OPC. So holding Ipob to the same standard cannot be wrong. Ipob is Igbo.

We must accept that Nigeria is a federation first with each ethnic nationality having a homeland. From there we now agree on how to coexist

Yes......

And we cannot have a conflicting constitution.......

That's why each region should be powerful and organize good laws so as to carry everyone along

Exactly. Mutual respect will be enhanced and a new Nigeria will come into existence. Yoruba and Igbo can conveniently sit together and run a global company. It is possible.

And we the new generation must treat love and mutual respect to the upcoming generations and not uniting them only during elections

Where I am now is outside Yoruba land, but a state in Nigeria. I would be the last person to oppose Igbo or any other tribe settling and doing business in Lagos or any part of Yoruba land. My stand is we should respect each other and understand our differences.

I also don't live in Igbo land....... everyone is allowed to come and live and do business but there must be mutual respect .....not a situation where an outsider kills my people and take over their lands like herdsmen do........

I think yorubas should be more open asin in living igboland.......cos sincerely since I was born I haven't seen any Yoruba person in my village
