The Buhari-led Federal Government has announced a 60% debt cancellation and a further 40% discount on licensing fees for all broadcast stations operating in the country effective from July 10, 2020.

The measures are part of moves to inject financial stability in the broadcast industry in the wake of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

All functional broadcast stations are entitled to the debt cancellation as long as they pay the outstanding 40% of their license fees within the next 3 months. Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed who made the announcement says
Money owned Federal Government by broadcast stations amounts to the tune of N7.8 billion.

The bailout however will not cover Pay Tv Platforms.

You are fit for something better than minimum wage and serving the more and earning little.

You need to know that you were not created to work and produce and impoverish yourself to enrich an idle exploiter.

You need to know that you have a mind to improve, a soul to develop, and a manhood to sustain.

And what better way to do this than to empower your mind?

And what better way to empower your mind than to READ BOOKS?

so the broadcasting stations who are suppose to investigate and made corrupt leaders to the public are broke and u want them to function properly?? FG has bought their conscience and all we are going to see henceforth is the good things even none exist about the govt. If the judiciary and the media are not independent, democracy is still far from the people. oppression, hate, corruption, fraud will thrive.
