The lawyer is just there to get his own cup of Gucci milk ,he knows the case is dicey to win ,but truth be told ,hush may scale through or get a lesser jail time if the argument is pursed illogically.

That's what lawyers do, they defend their clients, so i don't expect him to say otherwise.

Cases are decided on technicality and not what we think or presume.

That doesn't mean he won't lose the case. The lawyer would only try to guide him and get him a reduced sentence for full cooperation, incase there are still others out there.
