I have to create an educative thread and share with my countrymen that personalities in close immediate proximity and in the circle of VIPs do qualify as lobbyists and influencers for those who otherwise could never have contact and access to the VIPs. It is quite alright for Ms Kiki to own 800million naira mansion or a billion naira real estate if she wants. The problem is if a conflict of interest is involved. As long no conflict of interest she is ok and owes no one apology. Na miseducation dey worry us and we think its wrong for her or anyone to act as middleman to a VIP and earn money doing so.

This thread was created to educate people like you. If you had said Jonathan's daughter or son inlaw I would underatand but you said First Lady. While a First Lady is indeed an influencer and a lobbyist she has an official office and role recognized under the Presidency. Her staff and her engagements are official, therefore she qill be in conflict of interest to receive gains from private parties interested in contacting Jonathan, whether in official capacity or for personal reasons. You took a simple and easy to understand information, twisted it it on its head and peppered it with your cluelessness.

Im speaking up regardless of who it is, whether under pdp or apc. FirstLady does not qualify as lobbyist while her husband is in power. When hr leaves power, power does not leave him and people are still tripping thenselves to have picture with him to have him at their fund raising to invite him to symposium and all that. As a private citizen his wife, the ex FirstLady can now exercise privilege and make gains as a lobbyist. In the case of Jonathan, Patience can even act as lobbyist to Aisha Buhari, her successor. Yes, Patience Jonathan can act as a lobbyist and middleperson to current FirstLqdy. Like i said we are not educated about these things and so we mess up. The children of governors have similar lobbying privilege.
