I'm sad seeing guys hustling for this job. Seriously don't waste your time and resources over a job of atmost 8 people to be selected per. State. Your chance of securing the job is not up to 1%. If your house is close to the center, you can just trek and go, even 50 naira bike doesn't worth it not to talk of traveling down over this useless job that those that will be selected won't even come for the test.

Those that will represent their state don't struggle to write the test. See it's like this is your first time of applying for DSS . You have to know the governor of your state. We are talking of recruitment that is less than 10 per state.. This is not about luck or prayer, it is 100% Slot. You can only pray for luck in a mass recruitment exercise

In every institution no matter how corrupt you think they might be, there is always room for merit. That you weren't selected previously dosen't mean others haven't been selected previously on merit.
Navy only accept 3 cadets per state and I know people that have being successful without knowing anyone. Same for other organisations even the army don't take more than 8 candidates per state and to a large extent many people get it on merit atleast the last SSC 45 guys can attest to that fact. So your position that DSS slot is 100% by slot is false.

You are not far from the reality.... Sometimes one need to have experience so that he can give testimony.... 2018 cadet officers are on ground.... That's why they recruitment is strictly for graduates.....They are taking 10 candidates.... 7 are already candidates of 2018 while 3 are candidates of 2020....Let's face the reality, it's not easy to get but put your trust in God...Don't limit the power of God, play your own part and God sees your efforts; He will surely bless someone.... Like I always tell people take your chances if you listen to naysayers or pessimists you'll never achieve anything in life.
It's better you try and fail than not trying at all, how will you feel if someone you know got a lucrative job you had the opportunity to try and waived it off that it has already being shared to croonies, you'll live your entire life in regret.

During the exam, an officer walked up to me and said you look too serious let's see it in writing.
That scene gave me hope but was never contacted after the exams.
Months later, I changed my residence and guess what I found myself praying in the same mosque as the officer.
If I hadn't gatecrashed, would I have known the officer?

The first day I approached him, he was sceptical of giving me audience but after mentioning some things that happened during the exam he talked to me and till date we are still in contact.
It might not have worked for me but then the network might be of use someday.
The system might seem hijacked but their are people still willing to help sons of nobodies like you and I. It's left to you to position yourself.
Mind you nobody among the 2018 set(graduate) was called to camp. So what's the fuss and bad blood about.
Hold your negativity since it works for you and I hold my positivity since it works for me.
