Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard, has admitted that his side could miss out from the Premier League top four this season following their 3-0 defeat to Sheffield United on Saturday night.

Sheffield defeated Lampard’s men at Bramall Lane, thanks to David McGoldrick’s brace and a strike from Oli McBurnie.

The defeat means Chelsea is in the third position on the Premier League table with 60 points after 35 games.

The Blues will drop to the fifth position if Leicester City beat Bournemouth on Sunday and Manchester United defeat Southampton on Monday.

“That is the reality (that we could be out of the top four). Today I am concerned about how we performed. I am not thinking about position, just the way we play. We can’t approach the rest of our games like today,” Lampard told Sky Sports.

Am a man united fan and I celebrated wen Chelsea lost ystaday...but I must disagree wit u sir...Chelsea game had improved under lampard than under Sarri...the only issue he has is consistency and he caused it but always rotating his team...u don change a winning team...dats exactly wat Ole has been doing in Man united... Using the same starting IX for the past five games...I tink dats just where he has to improve...aside from yestaday match...Chelsea playing pattern is very okay

U talked of ole, do you know that ole has used about forty different players for the uel?

They are humans not machines.
At some point, they will surely get tired

Lampards problem is his mentality towards games period

work more on ur defense before u can compete for the epl or endup being frustrated
1..liechester had a nice defense dt season de won the league..
2..pep spent over €200m in defense alone when building his team and endup dominating till now
3..Liverpool had most expensive van.dij and de are now champions..
4..man.u also have expensive maguire and now they are clicking on form..
the point is dt, if ur defense is solid at d back, it can save ur team more slacks and hide the bad performances of the others....juve and barca are struggling right now bcoz of bad defense and Madrid are in form bcoz of its in form defenders.

Every team from d top five leagues do use rotate der teams in Europa lead...I mean every top five league teams who find demselves in Europa...but wen dey start get to d semi and d finale...they use their first eleven...but in the league...u keep using ur winning team...especially d attack...talk of Bayern,PSG,Liverpool and barca,even Juve...
