For anyone who booked IELTS for this month, I just got this from them, after my exams was postponed last week till further notice.

Thank for your patience while our centres have been closed. We look forward to welcoming you to our test centre soon.

We plan to commence testing in Ibadan in the first two weeks of August.

Kindly allow till the end of July for further updates on test dates.

I hope this information was helpful.

Please contact us on +234(0)7025164710 or 234(0)7025164708 if you need further clarification.

Thank you once again for choosing the British Council, and for your continued support and understanding.

Kind regards,
Eno George

Hello everyone! My BC IELTS is scheduled for tomorrow here in Ibadan, with the booked and confirmed status. Yet there's an email which states that all exams are postponed in Nigeria, except in Lagos and Abuja. Has anyone gotten similar email?

Good day all , does anyone know about the Wes fast track. Whereby you pay a certain amount for the hard copy of the verification to get to school on time. Unilag doesn’t respond to verifications till they have gotten the hard copy ... I just want to know if there’s a way and the how to fast track it such that the hard copy gets to unilag in days not the 8 weeks it takes...... Thank you .

Use google to find out if WES does it. Check their website. No do wetin no dey the website

Hello house, I had my Bsc evaluated but I took a diploma in French course (DELF A1) at Alliance Francaise. I had it verified and it was evaluated as one semester study by WES. I'd like to know if this can fly as two or more certificates.
A copy of the evaluation is attached.

Brave attempt. But one semester undergrad isn't sufficient to complement bsc. Doubt it will fly. I stand to be corrected though.

Holla at WES via contact us/calls to use int'l courier service for your verification to be sent in physical form and you should get an update for the payment ($85CAD) on your dashboard soonest after you initiate that call to action.

Okay thank you

1.study materials available at the secretariat.
2. Anyone can do it as the certificate level is almost equivalent to predegree in universities. You only need dedication to read and understand as CF2 is quite bulky.
3. According to their website, 4hrs study is needed weekly for a duration of 3 months for a certificate course but I feel more dedication is required since it's something you are newly introduced to.

Lets be careful here. The one that flies before although sometimes rejected was "completion of college certificate(one semester), take note of the completion here. But this one, WES indicated it straight that ots a One semester undergraduate study(meaning it was not completed). My analysis might be wrong though and she can give it a try too

In d West, you finish eating at a restaurant or someone delivers your groceries, you give them TIPS. And no be play play money o by the time them collect from plenty people.

But my countri peopo, we call the same thing BRIBE. It's this upside-down nomenclature that's makes us think we r d most corrupt in d world.

Not attacking you Sir, I usually also see it as a bribe n not better than u. If I don't quote u, d point won't be made.

I hope nacho4 has lectured you on the difference between a bribe and tips? I hope u are not saying tips and bribe are synonyms? And u are also aware that all this company apps like doordash, skipDdish have column for tips, are you saying they can as well replace the word with bribe?

If you are still not clear, then u need to go get a dictionary.

Pls carefully review this link from IRCC on how to interpret your ECA report. Go to the bottom, select Comprehension Ranking System and click on See Points, for 2 or more degrees filter by 119, CRS points for 2 or more......or go through all the items.

There is no reference to "one semester of undergraduate study". I would not advise you to claim 2 degrees.

One semester is enough. Many people I know used B.Sc + plus 1 semester to claim points for 2 or more certificates and some of them are already in Canada as PRs.

Tipping and bribing are two different things. Call a spade a spade. The waiter at the restaurant or the delivery guy will do their duties regardless, so long as they are being paid by their employers. Tipping is some form of show of gratitude after service is rendered.

If the pizza store doesnt work on saturdays and you pay the delivery guy to find a way of getting into the store and getting pizza delivered to you, it's bribery.

I don bribe tire for this country, no be say i be saint. but make we call wetin something be as e be.

@Exmay02
@EnglishWithJosh

I go to FirstBank. On my way back, I "tipped" d mopol at d gate #500.

If I to come to use d ATM later in the day n I told mopol that I am in a hurry. Mopol will "carry me" over other people in put me in front. Of course I will give him even more "tip" as you like to call it.

Using your example, before a delivery guy will agree to break protocol for me, it must have been because I have been tipping him. He is breaking the protocol cos of a future monetary gain.

If a girl has been serving me beer and I always tip her, the next time there is queue n I tell her I need my beer chilled n fast, she will find a way to sneak it to me before others. When d waiter is counting her money at close of work, will she label d cash I gave her as a bribe or as a "tip or blessing?"

If I always tip a Uber n one day I called his line directly to pick me up. This means he is making money off of a connection that Uber afforded him while not cutting Uber their share.

Tip is like the younger brother to bribery. The end goal of tipping is usually to make the person to more readily break a protocol for u on a later date even tho this might not be your initial intentions.

Tipping is a form of compromise just like bribery.

Do you want to play by the rules in its entirety or do you want to selectively play by the rules?

One country kills a person, u call it murder. Another country does d exact same, u call it "eliminating a terrorist." Does it change d fact that they both killed? It's just a nonsensical nomenclature where u choose what word suits you.

Africa!!! Wake up.
