Promotion is automatic after 5 years for DSSC officer in d Army (Airforce is 4 years), 25/5= 5 ranks above lt; lt,cap, major, lt Cornel, brig gen.

So deres a possibility or tho, dere r usually some frustration along d line, one may stay in a particular rank more Dan d expected duration due to situations like vacancies, Politics etc

There are some promotion that's 3years. Mostly colonel to brig gen which is by appointment likewise brig gen to major gen is appointment as well.
DSSC in airforce have regiment core which is like the infantry core in army, this are the people that go to war.
For you to be a CAS in airforce you must be a pilot, if you're not forget it.

What he said is very factual.
It's a recent development by the army high command. This is to discourage people from resigning and also allow personnel serve out the max age in the military. I doubt if they'll reverse it atleast not in the middle of an insurgency, this probably why they increased the age for DSSC applicants.
It's more like if you enter we die there, no be say person go enter target when he/she will be ripe for pension and now resign, formerly 10yrs in service means you will be pensionable now it is 15yrs.

Besides it’s Dssc’s first promotion and ideally, it shouldn’t even take up to 5 the same way SSC move from 2nd Lieutenant to full Lieutenant in 3 years.

Nope, NDA Graduates takes 6 months to get to Lt, while SSC spend 18 months to get to LT, not 3 years, if not by default graduates of NDA (67RC) would be mates with d current SSC, bur d Current SSC are mates to 3rd term cadet officers of d academy irrespective of the fact that d will get commissioned b4 dem

course 44 got promoted almost 3 years after! It’s no longer 18 months as the hatcos made promotion for rc, Ssc and DSSC 5 years for the military
Course 44 commissioned into the military late 16/early 17... and got promoted in November 2019

the Air Force Dssc sometimes lists positions for special forces/regiment in their Dssc.... they did 2 years ago

I won't argue with you but what I know is that some uses 5,6,7yrs before hanging Captain.

RC/SSC get promoted once you pass ... nobody can deny u
