And why should we trust him. It’s a very nice story, and if it’s true then it is very sad, but he has provided no evidence whatsoever. And if the person intended to kill him they would have shot him more then just once. I personally suspect that either he wasn’t working well, he got into a fight with another soldier who shot him so he made up that story, or he was killing a lot of Boko Haram fighters but one of them infiltrated the military frontlines, in disguise and tried to kill him.
