After the Spanish Island of Mallorca modernized their MGR line to modern electrified - kenya acquired their old DMUS. Saudi Arabia, France, Argentina are amongst other countries that bought the DMUs.

The DMUs are finally on the way. pics below they are being loaded onto trucks in Mallorca enroute to Barcelona and from where they will be shipped to Mombasa on the 21st of July 2020 & arrive 25 days later.

Nairobi commute rail carries 15k passengers daily - and with acquisition of DMUS - we will hit 135k passengers daily.

At which point - we will enough to justify a proper modern light/metro line in Nairobi.

By 2022 - we expect the daily passenger's number to hit 132,000.

At which point we will start thinking of modernizing to include Nairobi metros - so we can move to something close to a million daily passengers.

there's no country that shrinking economy wont affect their construction because. the money they had at hand to spend on d project wont be sufficient again irrespective of d additional amount kept seperately... Because a dwindling economy will cause high inflation which in turn pushes d price of building material. some of d investors may likely want to pull out his fund to venture into short-term investment since ROI on construction is usually long-termed. potential customers wont pay up-front again

Most likely, by 2024 construction of Eko Atlantic and centenary city should be progressing very quickly, with the completion of akk gas pipeline, ajaokuta, constant electricity, railways connecting major cities to ports, textile factories. Thousands of private companies will be attracted to Nigeria. That is likely when centenary city’s Africa tower will be built.
