Yes there are N400 trips, but there are also N4000 trips. Don't let us make it sound like its only short trips he will be getting for the whole of his uber career lol.
And why won't the car be like this after 3 months, you need to see the one I've been using for exactly 2 years then. It's not everybody that is a rough rider na.
People advising him not to use it, if he returns it hoping to get another one and the story changes to the one that touches from there, what would you have him do then?
Prosperofficial use your corolla with care and you shall prosper. People are using Camry 2011 and they're doing just fine

Ppl are also using Honda Civic 8th generation and are making it (me especially). Dis ur Corolla is the bomb. Take proper care of it after 1yr d value will still be high. Maintenance is key, #400 Trip no fix break the car it will do it again and again and again and again.

U guys are saying sell it sell it, who Is gonna pay him 3M to 4M. Is it the car dealers that will be pricing car like say u no pay custom duties and landing cost . I agree uber fares is not worth the car, but since this is what you have at your disposal, u can still compromise and make use of it judiciously. Except if he want to wait for donkey years to get a good buyer. If he doesn’t mind let him do business with me. I give him my Camry and add N1million and I collect the corolla grin That’s a good deal. No cheating
This is the reason we have and will keep having problem in the world.

What is there for you to respect other people's opinion? You gave your own advice nobody attacked u, other did according to their knowledge and experience you're foaming.

Take a chill bro.

As for you deal, you're free to talk to the subject about it. If it goes down well lucky you.

Men, my spirit is already weak with all the feedbacks I have received so far...
What if I return the car and he decides not to buy the lower model 06? Remember he bought this one himself, besides, once I resume at my office, I will repay with my salary for as long as I can! But from all the feedbacks, I now understand 2010 model is just not for ehailing business at least in Lagos.
chinyce:

Do not use this car for uber in Lagos, I repeat, do not attempt to use this car for uber in Lagos for UberBolts fares of N400. Not even for part time. Is just not worth.

If my brother was stubborn to change it for 06, I will just simply park it for private use and keep posting my brother.

After 3 months, this car will not look like this again, and your brother will still blame you.

Or sell it, buy an 06 cool and get some change.

What’s even special about a 2009 Corolla sef? The car is clean, so what?

All he needs do is drive the car like he bought with his hard earned money then nobody will tell him to avoid bad roads and stick to maintenance schedule.

Still not wickedness bro. It is at the rider's discretion to add lil money to it or not, but if he doesn't, for one reason or the other, I dont see it as wickedness. That's how indriver operates, you agree to the fare irrespective of how long the trip takes. Do riders complain for paying 4x the normal price on surge and call drivers wicked for collecting such amount?

Not true Bro, you didn't agree the price irrespective of how long the trip will take .
They work with current road conditions when calculating fares, so if you take the trip and it took much longer than expected to complete it the rider is suppose to be considerate otherwise he or she is just being wicked.
Simple, if he had begged the driver and truly don't have anything to add it's understandable but insisting on what was initially agreed means the rider is simply being insensitive and that's wickedness.
I ask again assuming it took you the whole day to complete the trip nkor? Probably because the road were totally blocked, so the rider will say because it's indriver he will still pay what was agreed initially?

Hello bosses, I want to start an Uber business in Lagos. I already have a driver in mind. Please what is the current average weekly delivery in Lagos. I don't want give my driver an amount that would leave him with nothing at the end of the week or where he will be struggling to pay and I also want to avoid a situation where I am being shortchanged.

Thank you all in advance

Hmmmm. Only 20-15k is realistic this period. I will advise anyone putting his car into this biz in this period as a form of investment to hold on unless you're helping your driver out with that car just to earn a living

The calculation is right. No cheating.
Use this formular;
N200 + N60/km + N11/min
Your answer multiply by 0.25 gives you uber fee.
Your original answer minus uber fee gives you your earning.

Pleaze how do you guys do it, that's working within a particular jurisdiction.

Take for an instance, if I want to be within Surulere how do I set my trips to be within on Uber

I actually don't work in a particular jurisdiction, I go where the trips takes me to, but I'm very selective with the places I go to.

About your question, I usually ask rider to cancel, if the rider is not going my way grin

Thanks bro, actually, I don’t want to do Uber full time, I have a job but because of Covid-19, we haven’t been able to reopen, hopefully when international flight starts... I requested for the car because I have been idle for a long time and wanted to keep busy. If I tell him that this car is too big for Uber, he may feel I am not serious about what I told him. My plan is to repay partly with my salary when we resume!

Ok since you going to be driving it urself and you don't want to sell it and get 05 to 07 Corolla for reason stated. Than make sure you maintain And use correct engine oil and other maintenance needed.. It's a nice car ,keep in mind parts will be more expensive now. Especially car engine due to the dollar scarcity.. It's in ur best interest to maintain the car .. We have few reliable mechanics on the forum incase you need help down the line

I was pummeled with all manner of invectives when i posited that 15k weekly was absolutely wrong.

The very week the lockdown was deescalated, I bought 3 tyres and a new battery with total suspension overhaul for one car also insurance for all 3 vehicles was due in a few weeks.

One thing Nigerians are bad at is facing reality. If you can't pay a car owner anything commiserate with his costing, abeg park the car and go look for another one or better still find another hustle, after all people had been hustling and getting by before Uber

Tell me how 15k will cover that
