If the same guy completed the trip quiker than estimated or rider aborts Midway and he still got his fare.

He will be shouting here to high heavens that indriver is the best creation after slice bread undecided

Emotions are never part of business

Yes, we can apply them, but we should never conclude that they are standards

I'll be grateful if a rider gives me something extra after spending hours on Indriver, but it isn't wickedness if no mercy drops fall from their pocket

I was pummeled with all manner of invectives when i posited that 15k weekly was absolutely wrong.

The very week the lockdown was deescalated, I bought 3 tyres and a new battery with total suspension overhaul for one car also insurance for all 3 vehicles was due in a few weeks.

One thing Nigerians are bad at is facing reality. If you can't pay a car owner anything commiserate with his costing, abeg park the car and go look for another one or better still find another hustle, after all people had been hustling and getting by before Uber

Tell me how 15k will cover that

Lol

In my opinion, that advice should not even be mentioned here at all. E no good at all

But it's the truth, if you want to do philanthropy with your car, good luck to you.

I was at my mechs today at agidingbi and a crashed Uber car was brougth in.

Owner was lamenting that driver had absconded and was even owing 2 weeks rent even at 15k a week.

The accident happened about 3 weeks ago

Men, my spirit is already weak with all the feedbacks I have received so far...
What if I return the car and he decides not to buy the lower model 06? Remember he bought this one himself, besides, once I resume at my office, I will repay with my salary for as long as I can! But from all the feedbacks, I now understand 2010 model is just not for ehailing business at least in Lagos.

Hey bro!
Nothing is wrong with that car, it is as good and rugged as 03-06 Corolla, except the parts may be a lil costlier. People are using 2010 Camry for this hustle. I am only concerned about the cost your bro might give it out to u but I'm sure he will be lenient with you since he's offering the car to you as a help and you have a job to supplement with uber.
Since you have a job already, this car is perfect for you than the regular Corolla on the street. You won't regret using this car instead of 03-06 Corolla which has already been branded as uber car. I will go for a good naija used 10 Corolla than tokunbo 03-06 ones at the same price.

Please take the car with all joy and enjoy your ride majestically.

If he like make he return the car, body go tell am. Agreed the fares are low but at all at all, we they pay our bills.

What’s even special about a 2009 Corolla sef? The car is clean, so what?

All he needs do is drive the car like he bought with his hard earned money then nobody will tell him to avoid bad roads and stick to maintenance schedule.

Orchid road wey me I say I no go at 830pm the other day, Na 2011 XLE Camry come carry the babe, Na inside my car she sidown order the ride. undecided

Camry XLE is not a good choice business wise when is he going to recoup.

Not true Bro, you didn't agree the price irrespective of how long the trip will take .
They work with current road conditions when calculating fares, so if you take the trip and it took much longer than expected to complete it the rider is suppose to be considerate otherwise he or she is just being wicked.
Simple, if he had begged the driver and truly don't have anything to add it's understandable but insisting on what was initially agreed means the rider is simply being insensitive and that's wickedness.
I ask again assuming it took you the whole day to complete the trip nkor? Probably because the road were totally blocked, so the rider will say because it's indriver he will still pay what was agreed initially?
Haba

Do You take the normal price when you take riders on 4x surge? U argued road might probably be free when the request was made before the gridlock was built, do u also know same scenario happens when riderd make request in sure period which might be 2-4x but might have been at normal price if the same request is made just a moment later?

We cant win All.

You can call a rider who gives tips to compensate a driver for experiencing gridlock kind but I think it is unfair calling a rider who agrees to pay actual amount wicked. That's just how indriver is made to operate, there is no provision for rider to compensate drivers for any gridlock experience.

Some riders are just wicked. Carried one from Agungi today to Fagba side. 3 hrs journey. Even had to go follow airport road cos of traffic. Paid extra toll gate. Rider insisted she wont pay me more than the agreed fare. It was on Indriver. Local man just weak. grin.

Of course, she definitely won't pay any extra. That's why she used indriver. You should have checked the traffic situation before accepting the trip. The fault is on you.

Please a friend is asking which is preferable for Uber between civic 06-08 and Camry 02-05. She plans on doing uber for just about a year before relocating abroad and then reselling when leaving. I asked for comparisons for the two cars earlier, citing maintenance cost, fuel efficiency, luxury, and durability(engine and body), but I didn't know it was for uber. What's also the resale value comparison. Thanks for the anticipated responses.

So I staryed my day off at MM2 airport as directed by uber, paid toll #200 and parking #750. While waiting, a trip came in, I accepted, Rider said she is in Abuja but she is requesting for her business partner who is on his was to Lagos.

She asked if Uber goes to Ibadan. I said yes. I thought of it, doing an online trip won't pay me. So I negotiated offline and later agreed 15k. I waited for another hour before my rider's flight arrived. Unfortunately I was at the wrong place. Had to drive back to MM1 domestic wing and kept going round in circle so as to avoid those guys that toll vehicles. I eventually opted to use their car park #400 (so I can better search for my rider). I eventually found him 6secs after parking.

Spent 3k fueling my car on my way to Ibadan. I had to fuel 2k on my way back to Lagos (blew empty).

Now let's do the math.

750+200+200+400+3000+2,500 = #7,050

15,000 - 7,050=# 7,950

I cried when I did this calculation. I suffered today sha.

Could u have made that in lagos today? And if your car doesn't gulp fuel, you should be having about 2k worth of fuel after arriving lagos from the 5500 fuel you bought to and fro.
